  1. Hi Ladies and gentlemen,

All of a sudden I can't post pictures in my messages in Jambands.ca forums. Anyone else having this problem?

Is there something that I could have done by accident in my settings? It just happened all of a sudden. It just prints the location adresse line with the image html code. This all came about around the time I changed my avatar.

I've tried many times. I've checked and rechecked the codeing and location addresses to make sure there is no problem.

    I'm stumped anyone? :o

  2. I'm just noticing more and more instances of 2 people 'having it out' in a thread about something entirely different. It's also usually the same few people involved as well, which gives the illusion that EVERYONE is in a bad mood.

I was just reading the CODETALKERS thread and was completely flabbergasted by the bitchfest between del and beats. I don't have the time to stop this crap which ultimately is distracting from the original topic about the Codetalkers.

These kinds of exchanges NEED to go into private topics or emails. I've warned in the past about locking threads when they get off-topic but I just can't keep up, and it's unfair to the original thread poster to lock their thread because of IMMATURE e-argueing.

What is with the fetish of telling someone they are an idiot in a post that isn't about them? OWNING someone seems to be the goal, and that's what kids do on message boards. It has to stop here and now. I'm probably going to have to draft some sort of rules list soon and pass it on to moderaters. Rules that aren't followed can easily lead to temporary bans.

    Amen. Here, Here.

    I man support 'dat.

  3. For the record I appricate all the selfless help my band and I have recieved at the hands of Jaydawg, SmoothedShredder and everyone else in the scene and on Jambands.ca. We couldn't do it without them.

These people really do make a difference. They make the scene happen in little ways, everyday.

Without people like them, the larger, established acts (read:jambands/non-commercial/independent/outside and electronic acts) everyone wants to see, would have no scene to play to, no local markets established and hence no reason to come and play, especially in places they've previously never played.

    Don't hate. appriciate. :)

  5. Hey just to chime in. I do appricate all the good info/advice for my taping question. And I do also appricate Canned Beats info. Even if your not an experienced taper, it doesn't mean you can't be helpful.

Thanks everyone and let's not jump down each other's throats on these threads. I mean "what taping rig to buy?" is a pretty non offensive and non-emotional topic.

[color:blue]Let's not hate on each other in the forum. There is egnough hate in the real world. :)

    Thanks everyone and chill.

P.S. I think I'm going to take Bradm's advice and get one of those Nomad units they look solid.

  6. Hi All,

My band is heading out on the road this August and I really want to record the whole tour.

I have in the past recorded shows from the audience side of things with a small stereo mic and a minidisc player.

I recently lost my mini-disc player ar a gig and am looking to get a new rig.

[color:blue]What would be your suggestion for a decent  recording unit and mic. The More specific the better.

Also I'm not looking to spend thousands of dollars.

    Your inpuit is appriciated... :)

  7. I also think Bonobo is a great producer and love his albums. The live situation with Bonobo (as a band as oppose to DJ sets), while good is really just getting off the ground. I'm sure they're getting better with every set as anything Ninja Tune puts forth is of high quality.

At the Opera House show Bonobo's set was adequate. Didn't blow me away as much as the albums but the potential for growth is certainly there.
