chester is fine, stanley had an abcess. the vet's patched him up & they expect him to be ok, but the last thing he needs now is a new cat playmate.

one of kat lady's cats has had a brush with the kitty healthcare system, and this may be a bad time to introduce another cat in to their world. so i have a very healthy very happy now neutered cat with all his shots that is still looking for a home...he's moved fully in with us, and is quite well socialized. he seems to get on with other cats, and is very happy lying in someone's lap purring. as before, free delivery to most anywhere in SoOn, and as before, it's "pay what you can." both me and niffermouse really want this guy to have a happy home... again, his pictures...

the thing that seems to cause the most opposition to wind turbines is the low rumble that a wind farm emits. there are cases pending in california and possibly in england where property owners are suing wind farm operators for distress caused by the low rumble...as far as the look, they may be a bit weird to look at, but jeebus, it's free clean power! put them where they won't disturb people with the noise and let's make some clean electricitry already

thank you paisley, that's the original point i was trying to make. i was at a lab equipment trade show years ago and got talking to a guy that ran a drug testing lab...he was there offering his services to the big companies in attendance. i stopped at his booth and talked to him, and tried to get him to open up by taking a symathetic viewpoint...it worked. he told me that you could be in a room with poeple smoking a joint and days later testing would register THC in your system.

me too. contrary viewpoints are what make this place interesting. sunshine rocks for starting this. i'm a serious sucker for helping homeless folks. i live in a small town with no homeless people (afaik) and when niffermouse and i head in to toronto, we wind up giving away tonnes of change to folks on the street. i find it amazing to watch the well - to - do folks in Toronto step over homeless people while chatting away on their phones about what wine to have with dinner...arrh!
