I'm surprised this was announced so soon after the end of the summer tour. Surprised too that there are none of the more traditional big city dates. I might be in for Atlantic City.
The Allmans have announced an Atlantic City date for Nov. 13th, which I'm more likely to attend at this point.
Still plenty of time to mull it over before tickets go on sale.

That's gold, Brad!

Is HYHU dead in 3.0?
They played it at SPAC last summer, a little bit of it anyway. But it's pretty much dead it seems.

Glad to hear that Envelope 3 will also be appearing at this "Festival of Maximum Occupancy".

What a fantastic evening at the good old Carleton Tavern. Thanks to everyone who managed to arrive early and cheer on No Buds for Bob. We had a lot of fun playing, and it was a thrill to open up for such a fantastic band.
Thanks Dave, Terry, Jeff and Dave for providing much of the equipment (especially the bass amp and drums for us) and such sweet tune-age.
A good friend of ours, originally from here, but now visiting from Vancouver (under sad circumstances - her dad passed away earlier in the week) said the evening of Grateful Dead music was just what she needed for cheering up. She wants to know if you guys are going to be playing again before she has to fly back to BC this coming weekend!
Great to see so many old friends and some new friends. Events like this should happen more frequently!

I caught a "Buffalo Bill", sung by special guest Tom Marshall in Philly in 2003.

I'm kind of busy at work this morning, so not much time to post details, but the concert was awesome! One of the best I've ever attended. He played for 3 hours, almost 40 songs - including a couple of surprises!
If you're interested, the setlist is available here.
-
As you probably already know, I'll be there. I've checked out some setlists and there are slight variations from night to night. I downloaded a bootleg show from Denver and it sounds great. The show is almost 3 hours long! I don't want to ruin any surprise factor for you, but I'm fairly certain we'll be hearing "Let 'em In".
I'm thrilled to be going to this show!

I don't think we can call them a nostalgia act until they're doing the casino circuit, or performing at a Ribfest with free admission.
I still think Phish is the best live act out there.
-
perfect, I'll be there for 9:30 ish.
Good. You'll be just in time for our 2nd set!

Details are sketchy. "No Buds for Bob" is opening up and it gets underway at 8pm Saturday August 14th.
What's the name of your band, Hux?
The Carleton Tavern is at the corner of Armstrong & Parkdale.

Tickets ordered!

Let's fill the place with SKANKS!
It's the Elmdale - skanks are a given!
A few people from this board would be nice too.
See y'all there in Rocktober!

Welcome aboard!

If you'll have your car on your trip, there are power converters that you plug into the car's lighter socket. These things supply 120V AC.
Canadian Tire sells 'em.

Happy Birthday. Will there be millennium falcon cake?

You have to strike while the iron is hot.
In Beiber's case, the iron will be hot for another 18 months, tops. Then it will be ice cold.

Welcome aboard, Joy!
I've never been to THAT OTHER PLACE, but I've heard so much about it (good and bad, but mostly good!)
I've heard that tickets are hard to come by if you're not "in the know".
THAT OTHER PLACE is always on the same weekend as my hometown's summer festival, which I've attended every summer since 1990.
Have a great weekend everyone!

My answer to all three of your questions is:
"Couldn't be better!"
Thanks for asking!

I'll be a lot "cooler" too when I'm wearing a Maiden t-shirt!

I never wear earplugs. I'll probably regret that some day.
Every show I've ever been to sounded great.
I like standing directly in front of people who are shorter than me (which is pretty much everyone).
Ha Ha! Just kidding. I used to like to get right up front, but I'll only do that now if there's room. Generally, I'll situate myself around the soundboard area. I figure that's where you'll find the best sound.
As YATS said, if it's too loud for me, I'll move towards the back. But I have a high threshold of what's loud.
