  1. HA!!! I looked at that the other day at the store, and had no Idea it was so heavy on the religon. It is also packaged with the "Best Selling Book" the game is based on... I bet it's a mock bible!... Hillarious... they're takin' it to the streets, just like the Army, Sports Leagues, D&D Freaks, and Soduku Entusiasts! Medievil Total war is WAYYY better... fuck that's a good game. Take that god!!! I concured Europe without the help of you and your damn Pope who kept excommunicating me!!!
  2. It's at NHL.com Highlights!!! It's a great resource to check out trends in the NHL... tell all your friends... and people you know who like the Maple Leafs.
  3. Hey Buddy, It's the one that Ollie posted above that started the YouTube craze... you have to look close, but watch Vermette score from behind the net through his legs with two defenders 'between' him and the net. Aparantley on the same night some kid from Boston College did it on a partial side breakaway too. The One Heatley got last night for the 4th goal should get an honorable mention... or the tic-tac-toe to Corvo... take yer pick. Now back to being busy...
  4. Sorry, no tickets at ticketweb... let me know if you want to come to the show, and I'll get skancs in at the advance price of $30... otherwise it'll be $35 at the door. $40 If you're one of the last 50 to arrive. I'll be at the door all night... if we haven't offically met, the password will be: Keroac.
  5. Awesome... grabbing this... wicked set list... kinda bummed I missed this one!

  7. Antropov tagged Bell!!! I knew the stick could hit!
  8. Goal of the Year? Malkins was pretty sweet, but has anyone ever seen what what Vermette just did?!

Watching the Speeches, saw from Kennedy on: Kennedy - Great guy, a great asset to the party... I hope he does well Rae - Bombed in my opinion... his speech was so confusing, it seemed like he was saying everyone was better for the job than him, but give it to him anyways... if he gets elected, it's the best bet for the Conservatives in the next election, and the wrong wrong direction for the Liberals. What Rabbi was he talking about? His movie intro was weak. I'm convinced he was dropped/pulled into the race to cause a sort of smoke screen to help ensure Iggy gets the nod... Ignatieffs - Clearly the slickest of the candidates. If anyone is going to maximize the Liberals short term gains in politics it'll be Iggy... I think he'll prove a worthy adversary for Mr. Harper, really uping the quality of debate in the house from that of the headless chicken who's currently in power. His speech was a little dry, but seemed great next to Rae's... his movie intro was fantastic! Atleast we'll have a Liberal leader who's internet savvy! Love the Roman drums to start it off, and having the crowd finish sentences for him. Loudest cheer of the night (IMO) was when Iggy said he was going to get seats in Alberta! Too funny And the way he criticizes Harper is effective. If this guy can do what Harper does well, and leave out the stuff he's not so good at, then he'll be a realistic candidate in the next election... that is if he can prove to rally the party behind them... sooooooooo Election pool. I call March 2007... though I'm probably an idiot cause maybe they never have elections in March... Have fun tomorrow! Looks like the JLC is having a blast! Oh yeah... Creatien always knows when the Camera s are on!
  11. Fack, just watched the Leaf Lowlights at NHL.com. The first goal Atlanta scored was one of the best tic-tac-toe-tic's I've ever seen! And all those late goals... the way Maurice runs the team, they're running outta gas at the end of the games... it'll be a year or two before Paul gets all the guys he needs to play his game correctly! And the playoffs
  12. Chris Kelly should be cemented on the Spezza Heatley line... he's the best defensive intuition player on the team (Translation for leaf fans: Mike Peca), to compliment Spezza offensive intuition. And all Heatley has to do is go stand to the right of the net and wait. No rocket science in his game, just a hulking frame and lighting quick hands.
  13. Now alright now ladies! I'm just being honest! Hahahahahahahahh... this is going to be a very fun part of the season!
  14. I'm looking at it like a scientist... like reintroducing a substance at a different dose to see how the subject (Canadian public) think about it. For me, my reaction is pretty non-challant. I don't think any such terminology like "Nation" is really going to change the fundamental way in which the government works. I mean ultimately, they are 'in charge' and if they can ceremoniously name nations to large contionous regions of like minded people who choose to externally identify themselves as 'significant', then so be it. Down in Ottawa the Government sets up an office to work on this... talk about a Qualitative Cencus potential!!! Besides, if this goes through, I'd be really interested to what other groups would step up!!! I think it could be really enlightening and a great step towards a self-realized Nation of Canada!... and hopefully by that point we'll be making great steps towards a self-realized 'Nation of the World' state anyways! And I just can't get over the fact that there are so many people in Canada that Identify themselves as someone other than "Canadian"... It's like "Canada" is the groom at the alter waiting for all it's Brides to come home... and I'm not sure that'll ever happen. I got lots of Family out west, and a sure way to get a giggle is just to mention the word "Ottawa". BC is essentially exodused Ontarians that were sick and tired of the old ways... <<>>>... The East coast is like visiting some marverlous parallel universe!!! Quebec is well Quebec... Toronto has a Hard time seeing past it's own eyebrow's... "[color:purple]There's a Northern Ontario?!?"... and we all know how our Native Friends feel about our relationship with "Canada"... So "Canada" better start ackowledging these "groups" for what they are, cause if one thing is consistant... the "groups" have a grudge against Canada, and it's time for some bridge building... This "Nation" question is nothing more than an Olive Branch, one I hope is accepted... I said it before and I'll say it again... the way to win over Quebecers is not to patrionize them by electing another Millionire from their province... it's by having an outsider with awarness of their differences and a desire to make amends. If anything it's fun to watch... Translation Birdy: I think we'll have to agree to disagree! You crazy Libertarian!
  15. Something the Leafs Forwards can't do. I'll take Teams that peak too early in the Season for $300 Alex. ---- I mean common... two defencemen leading the team in assists... the rest of your team sucks, and Tucker is clearly playing for a contract... this is as good as he'll ever be. I hope you enjoyed the ride ahahahahahhahahahahahaahhahahahahahah
  16. Maybe that's it... I'm not speaking for myself cause I'm not Quebecois, and I know it... but I'm getting the sense from Bloc that they do feel inferior and they do want some special regonition. I know this cause they say it, and have been saying it for a long long time. This doesn't invalidate other cultural groups concerns either, but it would be strange for Quebecers to advocate for other groups if they themselves didn't feel as though they were being treated justly. It makes sense for the Quebecers to advocate for their group, and say the Natives to Advocate for their Nationhood, and whoever else may be interested... Perhaps, if we can reach an amicable resolution (Quebecois vs. Canada) other groups that feel the same can get encouragement that the Quebecois were able to get their message through, and through the acceptance, they will feel encouraged to rise up! Civil speaking of course! This motion is a test of our relationship, the sides are Us(Canada) and those who would call themselves Quebecois (which holds a decomcracy of a large continous area located primarily but not limited to the province of Quebec). The faster we accept it... the faster we can move on... the more psycological and cultural walls which remain, the longer this drama will play out, and the closer we will get to physical walls and hate filled dialoge. It's been done before, and could happen again... we have a real opportunity here to take the high road. What do we have to lose? And who could possibly get hurt by this that isn't already getting hurt in a similar fashion within the current government framework? And what paper work? Like I suggested might happen, there would be less paperwork cause of having to translate and process less bilingual documents... net effect: Some paperwork now for less paperweork later!
  17. I can see you fears... but I dunno... I think it's kinda enlighted, accepting, and useful to create a national identity based on a fairly homogenous and distict region... I hope they grant the same Natiohood to the Natives as well, and this is only the beginning of creating a greater fragmented awareness of the Place Canada that we all seem to live in together somehow ([color:purple]as opposed to the United States which is clearly different in everyway). This can all work if we can view a nation without firm boundaries while simutainously accepting the boundaries of Quebec for what they are and willing to accept places like this as being thought of as 'home lands'. Sure there are places in Quebec which aren't all French and don't follow the bloodlines of conquring force... but the same can be said about many places in the Nation of Canada... yet people are more then willing to assimilate themselves or choose to remain in someway 'distinct', though much more the former than the latter, and life keeps on chugging along!
  18. Cool, I can accept that! Selflessness is a difficult goal to achieve. Say you want to pass some bread, but you're not aware you even have arms. I can understand and respect this as your criteria for the inclusion into the good group. Sounds very spiritual and hard to quantify and achieve though. And must lead to much self loathing when one is has not yet achieved a state of 'goodness'. I'm more utilitarian: add happiness and good to the world at high rates, minimize negative or evil actions, and an self-awarness and actualization of this register is what I would use to determine someone as good. There's lots of opportunities every day to do this, and thus I find it a useful measure of a persons inhearant qulaity. Like when people try, and fail, they still can be good and feel good.
  19. I hope you have a parachute ready. The Leaves drop in the standings is going to be a long one.
  20. Gerber Baby! Now that's the Goalie I remeber handing the Sens one of their only loses during their ridiculous start last year... not to be confused with their ridiculous start this year. I can almost taste the playoffs!!! Go Sens!!!
