  1. Ho hum is right. Nothing of substance there in my opinion considering the examples given show nothing was stopped/banned from being sold, only delayed pending approval that standards were met.

Look at many seasonals that contain spices such as nutmeg, for example - they are usually labeled as "flavoured beer", which in my opinion is correct. Fruit flavoured beers also get that label I believe. But I read a craft beer article awhile back that asserted labeling it "flavoured" hurt sales and didn't help in drawing newcomers to the brand.

[color:purple]Obviously it's the "flavoured" label and not the actual flavour hurting sales.

  2. We'll be smoking a boston butt roast (pic below) on the offset, using local applewood and some more venison on the weber with smokenator insert using on property cherry felled in the fall.

Whiskey and twice as mad tom IPAs to wash it all down. We might even go inside and watch the game, if the bonfire gets boring.

Just got a call saying we'll also being doing up some smoked pulled pork as well, by request of our host.

  4. What.cd requested their upstream ISP null-route them to avoid wasting bandwidth until the DDOS passes.

Several sites have been DDOSd in the last couple weeks. EZTV, TVtorrents, BTN, IPT all hit. Some up again and some not.

  5. Torrent Freak reporting demonoid is back up again, and it's supposed to be legit. I'm still skeptical considering the fakes that popped up over the last year. Not too mention the recent changes Sweden made giving their spy agency full access to monitor internet traffic and their close relationship with the US regarding file-sharing/piracy policies, I'm not to going rush into reviving my old account just yet.

Anyway, this time it's apparently real.

  6. Yeah Greg, that Maple Leaf Gardens show was alot of fun for us. Didnt Jeff Healy and possibly Warren Haynes join Little Feat for Fat Man In The Bathtub? I cant say for sure. I was crunked.

I believe you're right. It was Healey, Warren & Dickey who came out for Fat Man encore, not the LF guys for ABB encore. I was mixing it up.

The CNE show had less than 5000 people in attendance too.

Found this A+ stream of CNE show: http://mulearmy.net/allman-brothers-08-24-90-cne-grandstand-toronto-on/

    Cheers.

  7. My first ABB show:

Event Date: Wednesday, August 11, 1993

    Start Time: 7:00 PM *

    Band: The Allman Brothers Band

    Venue: Kingswood Music Theater

Location: Toronto, CANADA Map of Venue Map

I was at that, Kingswood was awesome back then. So was ABB.

My first ABB show was at the CNE in august of 1990. Saw them the second time on Seven Turns tour in 1991, at Maple leaf Gardens with Little Feat opening. Jeff Healey & members of Little Feat came out for the Whipping Post encore. Acoustic ABB - still ranks high as a favourite show of mine.

  8. Neil Young Playfully Chews Out Audience For Clapping 'Wrong'

Neil Young seemed playful but didn't mince words Monday night during a gig at New York's Carnegie Hall when he chewed out audience members during the first of a four-night stand for clapping "wrong." Young had started the song "Ohio" when he quickly stopped the number, irked at those who were clapping a bit behind the beat. "Wrong!" Young reportedly said, according The New York Times.

"You're all not even, you're really late," Young is caught saying after stopping the song in the YouTube clip below at the 10-second mark.

Young then jokes about calling the musicians' union. "It's something that you probably don't know but there's a hell of a distance between you and me," he added. "Just another perspective on a happy crowd. Funny thing about music..." Young carried on with the song from the two-set, 23-song performance at Carnegie Hall's Isaac Stern Auditorium. The show consisted of his own material, songs from Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young as well as a cover of Phil Ochs' "Changes."

Later on during the show Young reportedly replied to constant shouts for requests with a terse "You guys finished?" The singer than looked up towards the balcony, adding "No, you paid real good money to get in here, so you should be able to listen to each other."

And near the show's homestretch the singer, 68, quipped the following: "Pretty soon I'm going to play my hit." Young proceeded to round out the night with "After The Gold Rush" and "Heart Of Gold" to close out the second set. An encore of "Comes A Time" and "Long May You Run" rounded out the night. The New York shows precede a four-city "Honor The Treaties" Canadian tour with proceeds benefiting the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation (ACFN) Legal Defence Fund in their battle against oil companies and the government regarding the oil sands projects.

The tour will begin Jan.12 at Toronto's Massey Hall before stops in Winnipeg, Regina and Calgary to round out the trek. Diana Krall will be the support act on each of these benefit shows and 100 per cent of the proceeds will go directly to the ACFN. A fundraiser currently sits on the tour's website with a goal of $75,000. The tour's raised $17,259 as of Wednesday morning from 300 backers.

Young released his last studio album Psychedelic Pill in 2012. He also released "Live At The Cellar Door" as part of his ongoing archive series in late 2013.

  9. The collection has launched with games from five early home consoles, including the Atari 2600 and Colecovision.

The games do not have sound, but will soon, the Internet Archive said.

"In coming months, the playable software collection will expand greatly," archivist Jason Scott wrote.

  10. I was posting last night while piggybacking on a random wifi IP hence the short post.

I agree with ya Hal and asked the same question when I first read it - why does it have to be there? But they seemed to have made a lot of preparations and jumped through all the required hoops asked of them. To me the cities change of heart on the matter seems like nanny state bullshit - it's weird though that the CHPL folks are so dead set on playing there though.

  11. Hendricks should have been declared winner in my opinion. I was surprised with the split.

White's pretty pissed in this video from the night of the fight (nov.17).

UFC president Dana White is not happy with Georges St-Pierre.

After GSP was awarded a controversial split decision over Johny Hendricks in the main event of UFC 167, the Canadian made a surprise announcement.

“I have a bunch of stuff in my life happening. I have to hang up my gloves for a bit,†St-Pierre told UFC commentator Joe Rogan after the fight. “I have to go away for a little bit at least. That’s all I can say right now.â€

White didn’t like the way GSP went about announcing his plans to take time off.

“He could retire (but) there’s no ‘hey listen, I’m going to take a hiatus, I’m going to take a leave of absence.’ Whatever the hell it was that he was saying, that’s not how it works,†White said at the post-fight press conference. “You owe it to the fans, you owe it to that belt, you owe it to this company and you owe it to Johny Hendricks to give him that opportunity to fight again, unless you’re going to retire.â€

White shares the opinion of those that thought Hendricks won the fight, which took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

“Does anybody here think that Johny Hendricks won the fight? I’m blown away that Georges St-Pierre won that fight,†White said. “Listen, I’m a promoter and he’s the biggest star on the [expletive] planet for me and I still don’t think he won that fight. I want what’s fair and that wasn’t fair.â€

The outspoken UFC prez, who added he gave GSP the third round, then lashed out at the Nevada State Athletic Commission for inept judging.

“I think the Nevada State Athletic Commission is atrocious; I think the governor should step in before these guys destroy this sport like they did boxing,†White said.

Controversial decisions are unfortunately common in MMA and the UFC 167 main event will be talked about for quite some time.

“I am the champion,†Hendricks proclaimed at the post-fight press conference. “I did everything to win the fight … I’m going to come back stronger; I’m going to come back faster. I just beat the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world … I don’t care about Georges. I just want that belt … If i get to see him in the ring again, it won’t go the distance. I’m going to finish him.â€

Robbie Lawler, who picked up an impressive split decision win over Rory MacDonald in a featured bout, expressed his desire to fight Hendricks for an interim title if GSP is out of action for a long time.

GSP was not present when White made his comments, but the champ showed up midway through the press conference.

“I was in a war. I was hurt. I give my best. That’s the best I can give,†an emotional St-Pierre said after returning from the hospital where he received stitches. “I thought I won three rounds out of the five.â€

White spoke with GSP after the press conference and told reporters that he is confident an immediate rematch will take place, much like the case when Chris Weidman beat Anderson Silva at UFC 162 earlier this year.
