Dear Work, What can I say? I am blessed to be surrounded by talented colleagues who are also good friends...whenever I need time off I have never been refused...and when I took a last minute get-away and on the following pay cheque realized that you decided to make it a paid vacation I was blown away... Many days on my way to & from work I see people who are unhappy, rude and disrespectful which makes me realize how lucky I am to work in an environment where I can honestly say that there is laughter, friendship and support in abundance... My bosses are incredible and do everything they can to make sure work is coming in the door, especially during the rough times which my field has always experienced... And to be able to work with the best toys in the industry??? There are days that I truly am moved by my good fortune and can only wish that others will experience the same... Seems as though Harper is waking up and realizing that he has a Minority government and he has to make compromises or else he's out on his ass...he can only run & hide for so long

Now they're saying to the Ontario government to reduce corporate taxes or jobs will be lost...holy fack, this is just disgusting...they're not worried about jobs being lost, they're worried about themselves and possibly being reduced to a few million dollars rather than a few billion... :crazy:

Sorry, I meant "all who will be at Grossman's" will be witness and part of a great evening of music. But your post basically says it all; that on April 18th there will be a great night of eclectic music in Ottawa.

A few things to note. I've sent bouche the show from Hugh's Room so check back to see when & where he posts it for download. Carlos will be joining Caution Jam this Saturday at Grossman's Tavern. ALL will be part of an amazing evening of music...unfortunately my band is playing out of the city so I'll be missing out on what is sure to be a great night of music But for those of you heading to Grossman's, take Caution with the Jam!

Purchase the upgrade for Quicktime to Quicktime Pro. It's very inexpensive and you can do it online. Then open your MPG4 in Quicktime and export as an AVI file or a Quicktime DV/DVCPro-NTSC and you're good to go. Quicktime Pro is great for quick edits and all kinds of other things video related.

There's really no words that could describe what went down last night at Hugh's Room other than, "stellar, incredible, mind-numbing, magical, transcending, genius..." You get the picture I'm looking at getting bouche to post this for Jambanders to hear true virtuosos in their prime... Carlos, Kevin, Matt, Jorn & Henry were "on" last night...on what I don't know...fire, white-lightning, acid...whatever it was it was nothing but good... Think of it this way...for those who know how Kevin plays guitar, think of all the other musicians playing their instruments with the same command, uniqueness and boundary-breaking styles... It is unbelievable to me that there aren't regular pickets and protests at this moment outside 24 Sussex Drive...Harper put the government to sleep during a global economic crisis...we as citizens of this country, should make sure that he doesn't receive one minute of sleep until Parliament gets back to business. He has failed as a Prime Minister. He has failed as a party leader. He has failed as a Canadian. Yet, as we're so often referred to, most Canadians are apathetic and one day, which may come soon, our collective apathy could take a massive bite out of our great country. Yes, that's what is needed at the moment...to fill the empty senate seats... :crazy:
