  1. I just rolled in after a LONG wait in traffic to get on the highway due to the traffic lights all being out on Lakeshore Blvd (road to get to venue). We were waiting at the gate to get in when at approx 6:20 I see Phish's head of security John Langenstein approach the gates. I knew this was not going to be good, esp since it was past the 6:00pm doors open time. John said they worked all day to try to make it work but apparently the situation is that it's "not safe for the show to go on". Rescheduled for July 22 which is the very next day after the three night Chicago run ends. A friend of a friend who was inside the venue already (friends with band) said that the concession areas were still drenched with water and the lawn was just a puddle. As well, due to the lack of (stable) power in the area due to the rolling blackouts happening due to the storm, I don't think they could count on an adequate supply of power. People were BUMMED and I know of several folks who have flown in for the show, not to mention the ones that had driven up from the US. I feel for them. My questions: 1. Why did they wait so late? City Of Toronto declared rolling blackouts late morning saying they were " hanging by a thread". 2. If the venue was still such a mess, wouldn't that also have been a dead giveaway to bag it? Seems like a real rookie maneuver to pull the plug at the 11th hour. Ironic thing was it was sunny and warm out. a Gorgeous night for the show. Bummer.

  3. From the Amp's offial FB page: "First Phish concert in Toronto in over 10 years is proceeding tonight. Lakeshore Blvd is clear of water, as are Ontario and CNE parking lots. TTC and Go Trains are running – check websites for updates. Travel in the city will be slower than usual today – fans should account for extra time to get to the venue. First set starts at 7:30pm. Enjoy the show!"
  4. Some vids I took on Sat @ SPAC. Not the best or closest I've done but you'll get the idea.... Possum: Crowd Control:
  5. Can you share those addresses? I'd like to write as well. I'd be interested to hear what Capshaw says about this fiasco.
  6. Did you happen to see if it looked like "load in" was happening, meaning the gear trailers were backed into the venue?
  7. Really lame the band or LN hasn't said a word yet given how many people will travel for this show. They can't post a board within an hour of the show ending, post pics to social media, yet no word on this?
  8. Still no word either way from Phish/LN or the venue. Strange. I've got the news on and TO is a total mess in a lot of spots and they're urging people to stay home and off the roads. Good news is it didn't rain all night and I see the sun almost trying to poke through...
  9. Just back from SPAC. GREAT pumpin' shows. Last nights set 2 was fantastic. Can't wait until tomorrow...
  10. For anyone needing to know the various bridge wait times to cross either way, there's a GREAT iOS app called "bridge traffic" which lists all the bridges with traffic cams. Search for "Peace Bridge" in the App Store...

  15. Way pscyhed for this: Doing Couchtour Friday > SPAC Sat & Sunday...
  16. Phish's days of filling most sheds are over. Apparently both shows at Deer Creek last year were barely half full. No surprise they're not there this year. That said, I think the Toronto show will only attract 10-12k due to the fact that it's mid week, and out of the way as far as routing goes. Not to mention the passport factor which is now an issue for a lot of US folks. But again, this is the band's first show here in 13 years, so how could anyone expect a sellout. Regardless I'm SO psyched for this as well as SPAC next weekend. Time to RAGE!!! http://imgur.com/rUcZnyA
  17. I didn't believe it until I saw that picture, which to me totally looks like Weir.
  18. Didn't see this posted here yet. From a post on a Phish MSG board I frequent.... "This was all about two weeks before the Cap incident... Apparently, my old coworker was vacationing with his family in Puerto Rico. On their way home in the San Juan airport, their flight was delayed due to a big storm. He said that there was one guy at the airport, an older gent with a guitar, who made a huge stink about the delay. Made such a scene that the others who were waiting around for flight news cheered the woman at the desk when she dismissed the old guy for being obnoxious. The guy stormed off and went to the airport Margaritaville where he downed ten tequila shots in an hour and had to literally be carried out by the bartenders to his gate. The flight was ultimately delayed till the next morning and my coworker thought that it was funny when he saw the guy at baggage claim (see the photo). http://imgur.com/NI0Oc05 A few days ago, my coworker felt like listening to some Dead online and all that he could find on youtube was some Furthur and he instantly recognized the guy as Bob Weir. My coworker didn't recognize Bob in the airport because he hasn't seen him ever since he decided to grow ridiculous facial hair. Anyway, the teller of the story has no incentive to lie and wasn't being mean hearted about the Dead, because he could care less about them. He just thought that it was a funny situation from his perspective-- to have a guy be super obnoxious to the Delta staff, drink himself into oblivion in an hour at Margaritaville, last see him being carried to the gate, and then seeing him the next morning hurting so bad that he's nearly passed out on the luggage return-- sad for Bobby, but kind of funny at the same time. Anyway... it's a true story. The only other detail that I have is that my friend said that after they carried him to the gate, they realized that he hand't settled up and someone had to go back and get his credit card to run it for the bill. "
  19. Ok - I've got a pair of balconies for the Sunday show I'm looking to trade for the Friday show. Anyone?
