Does anyone know where it is playing. I have been waiting to see this film for the last half year, and I thought Empire would get it for Friday, but I called today and they said "nai".
Anyone have any info if the other theatres will be playing this?

Great pairing!

beauty! Especially wanted to see Joe Grass for a while. I see him sit in with everyone but never his proper set.

Hello fellas -- no idea why I blanked out almost to the point where I just assumed I had a ticket...but when I last checked it said online tickets are sold out but to show at door early for door tix. But now upon checking it, it seems Sold Out Sold Out.
Does anyone know if I can still show up super early for ticket?
Or is anyone here have an extra one or two? I am willing to provide a ride there and back.
Thanks in advance and fudge my forget-lazy-ness.

Do new broadband technologies exist that could handle the increase of our populations bandwidth usage?
Do other countries have similar problems?

Thought some JB.ca'ers may dig this. This band from Oregan put out an amazing 29-track concept album about...some kind of murder or something, don't exactly know yet...but anyways so far I'm in love with the music.
Check them out!

Looking some good external HD deals 1TB or 2TB.
If there are any good portable deals on too I'd be interested (500gb or 1TB)

Anyone know what time they play in Hamilton?

EDIT: http://www.supercrawl.ca/news/2010/09/supercrawl-schedule/
BP are on at 9 PM on York Street Stage.

I do not believe myself to be a fortune teller, but it just found out my camera buddy dropped out. I was going to rent TWO HD cams for multiple angles (preferably the two actually manning a camera would be the nice HDs rather then use it as a redundant steady angle on a tripod or something).
So, I guess I can unintentionally use my own thread to ask, if anyone knows someone who would be down to help as camera man for the Burnstown gig on October 14. THe other dates I'm all flexible for a) using one HD camera or putting on tripod, but for Burnstown gig I really was looking to get 2 cameras on the floor moving around. *Also this isn't exactly a paying gig...on the flipside there aren't any costs other than ones time.
Anyways, if not no big deal, there are a few others options/people I can think of an try and contact.

Bruce Peninsula Ontario mini-tour. Filming/production help/advice?/maybe?
Hey dudes, as you may know im big BP-head. The band is doing some dates as follows:
http://www.bruce-peninsula.com/shows.htm
September 23rdBrantford Arts Block
Brantford, ON
-------------------------
September 24th
APK Live
London, ON
-------------------------
September 25th
James St. Supercrawl
Hamilton, ON
-------------------------
October 13th
Casa Del Popolo
Montreal, PQ
(note venue change!)
-------------------------
October 14th
Neat Cafe
Burnstown, ON
-------------------------
October 15th
Grad Club
Kingston, ON
-------------------------
October 16th
Maverick's
Ottawa, ON
-------------------------
October 28th
Horseshoe Tavern
Toronto, ON
-------------------------
October 29th
Outback Shack
London, ON
-------------------------
But the topic is not solely to promote the dates, there’s more. You see, I am also going to be doing a film project with and for the band to use for promo stuff for the forthcoming album in the spring.
I will likely be filming the stretch of shows of Montreal, Burnstown*, Kingston, and Ottawa. You know like sound checks, chilling, eating before, etc. But specifically the *Burnstown gig at Neat Coffee shop is what the emphasis will be on as they hold a special place for that venue. The format for that show is two sets (so they will be likely premiering newer than new stuff, and other goodies) and it is held in a beautiful old school house converted into a stage. The front of the schoolhouse is a coffee shop.
So for that show we plan on doing some take-away style video shoots around Burntown, with backdrop of the beautiful Ottawa valley I think it would look really nice (around river maybe, or in front of the local church, attic of venue etc.). Also get some shots of the town, the venue, soundcheck, attic prep, the show, after-show etc.
Onto the matter…this is more of advice-seeking post. I am planning on renting two Panasonic HVX-200 HD cameras, wireless mics (maybe need a boom for the take-away style ones as well), the band will be bringing a 24 channel mixer (I hope, still need to confirm) etc. I was wondering if anyone has done a project similar to this? And if they have any advice for me or items to think of? Like I already know for the Panny HVXs since they run on P2 cards, I will need a runner to transfer the footage after 50some minutes to a hard drive and pop it back in (since they hold two at a time, you pop one out, transfer and format it and pop it back in). You know, the small logistical things that become big things.
Or, if anyone has experience in doing these kind of projects, and if you think you can offer help with some equipment or anything at all really and would like to join along we could definitely talk.
Coolio,
ZK

New single "Je te laisserai des mots" now on iTunes. But its not really new as it is from the soundtrack he wrote for the film, Mere et Filles (the new version is a bit different).

That was a great show! There was a lineup outside before the door, which is a first time ever according to store owner Nadia.
Tonight, TORNGAT!

Land of Talk were scheduled to headline on the 12th of September, but the promoters pushed the festival back a few weeks and so nada for them.

Patrick Watson played the Shoe last night at the private party.
