  1. I totally forgot you posted that. My blind assumption was that the Lynx were still affiliated with Baltimore. What a wicked surprise in the end. That is one fine mascot. His entrance with the popcorn was hilarious. Great job by the starting pitcher for Ottawa. He ran into some trouble here and there, seemed to lose volecity at times but in the end did what you can only hope. We had to leave during the top of the eigth when it was 4-2 for the Lynx so hopefully they held onto the lead. I really hope I get to see 10-15 games this year. It's still the best entertainment dollar in this city.
  2. I love it now. Zero's baby!
  3. That's a great way to separate themselves apart from the jamband camp!
  4. The great thing about Allentown, from what I understand, is that they are very behind in their 'bidding process'. Deals have been made behind closed doors that havent been met yet. That being said, they could get their shit together quickly and steal this team. We certainly cannot blame the owner. He's been a God in my eyes for keeping this money-pit here (along with getting completely fucked over by the city) as long as he has. Sports forum? I love the Lynx and am going to miss them when they go.
  5. I am sure I will hit that street in Hull Mike took me too when we got some personal pizzas at least twice. Elgin Street will be missed. Thankfully there's options.
  6. Yessir. Thanks Greg. I love all these Ghourds tunes you put up. Great band.
  7. Bring a wheelchair instead.
  8. That's wicked stuff Barrett.
  9. You know what really grinds my gears? All this happy 420 bullshit or whenever the time turns 4:20 and some hippie burnout turns into a drooling pavlovian dog and just has to smoke a gas-filled bong. Whenever someone mentions 420, I immediately hear memories being erased. Time stands still and all the Jim Morrison wanna-be’s start with their ‘grass is greener’ campaigns. Its times like this that I want the world to take me away from all these god-damn stupid parasites. There is something you need to know. You are not people you are hippies. Do you really want to save the world? Here’s a start. Stop smoking so much pot and smelling bad. You Embarrass Myself. And that is what really grinds my gears.
  10. DaveO and Jaimoe are both right! I wonder why Dinghy has been so silent. He is reminding me of the Chameleon of Raptor fans.
  11. Good for you NR. Keep it on the upswing. Mr. Hand: Am I hallucinating here? Just what in the hell do you think you're doing? Jeff Spicoli: Learning about Cuba, and having some food.
  12. Well done. They looked good. ::golf claps::
  13. "Ollie, please dont walk. You are going to hurt yourself. I am begging you to crawl."
  14. The Raised Eyebrow Stat Of The Series Thus Far Heatley, Alfie and Spezza have a combined 12 pts but each also has a negative plus/minus for a total of -5. Aside from Schubert, the rest of the team has either a 0 or a positive plus/minus. Take it from a Habs fan, if the Sens want to win the Stanley Cup I think they better reverse that anomaly.
  15. BradM just served you some ownage.
  16. I see you posted a new Liberal ad in the politics forum. Its nice to know your agenda is still going strong. People were beginning to wonder.
  17. Close Encounters: When Justin Kreutzmann was growing up in the Grateful Dead world (his dad is drummer Bill Kreutzmann) he used to get yelled at to turn the Beatles music down that blasted from his room, "Granted, they were trying to rehearse at the time". But Justin recalls the other Dead drummer, Mickey Hart, coming to his room and declaring "the Dead need to get that punch the Beatles have." Here Justin recalls for Lennon.Net the story told to him by Jerry Garcia of his meeting with John Lennon: In the early 70’s Jerry Garcia was starting to make solo records when the Grateful Dead weren’t working. On one of those first efforts he recorded ‘Imagine.’ Before a Jerry Garcia Band show, in New York, John Lennon came by to thank him. Lennon told Jerry that his version of ‘Imagine’ was the first time someone had covered one of John’s solo tunes. After the show they talked for a while and Jerry invited John to come back the next night to join him on stage. John said he would return the following day and do a sound check with the Garcia Band so they could work up a few tunes. Lennon never came back and Garcia thought that all the imposing Hell’s Angel’s hanging out backstage might have “scared him off.â€
  18. It's the forecheck Jaimoe. Unstoppable.
