Heard this tune on the CBC today, I dig the instrumentation. National Park
  2. Northern Wish's spaceship must have took off into orbit.
  3. Damn right, I would have given anything to be on that train.

  5. Into the 9th with a no hitter, still throwing 100mph, Arencibia got a walk out of him in the 8th after about 12 pitches.
  6. Verlander is going into the 8th with a perfect game going and he is still throwing 101mph fastballs, crazy.
  7. I was trying to find a Dodgers Cubs game a few weekends ago because it was the only sports on in the afternoon one day and for the life of me I could not find a single link anywhere. I was slightly drunk but I don't think that had anything to do with it. I'm pretty good at stuff slightly drunk.
  8. I just noticed a couple of other cool acts on the bill (These United States and Rural Alberta Advantage) but also noticed that North Mississippi is only a duo. I see that These United States are playing Friday but I couldn't find any info as to when Rural Alberta is playing, any idea folks?
  9. These guys were great! Wittiest banter I've heard in a while. I've only heard their studio stuff over the years and liked it but they are a whole 'nother story live, damn. At times I felt like I was grooving at a BNB show 10 years ago, they had one (dare I say) epic jam that had me hooked in their groove. Some other influences I heard were, and bare with me here, Phish(see epic jam)/Pink Floyd/Radiohead/BNB/Bare Naked Ladies* I wouldn't say they were anything like those bands I just mentioned but you can definitely hear the influences on the musicians. *I swear one of their tunes was the Barenaked Ladies version of Lovers in a Dangerous Time but it obviously wasn't. Go see these guys.
  10. This ain't Hollywood website says 9pm for what its worth.
  11. dude.... you live like a fifteen minute drive away. I am sure us West-end crew can make some arrangements. I would much rather camp for this and look what happened awesomeness.

  13. Wow. This is looking gooood. I wonder if there will be overnight camping on-site. If not I guess there is some other spots near by.
  14. Maybe you should just take the picture and we can both sport the avatars until next years bet.
  15. I'm sad and happy at the same time. More happy though, I'm proud of my boys for going 7 missing the two big guns but they were sorely missed on the PP
  16. Well said. 'Going Down' was definitely the highlight of that set for me but yes the whole good tension between the two groups was excellent. Such a good time back in the basement, I can only imagine that my feet were still tapping long after I laid my head to rest. I tried talking some sense into him to no avail, imagine that... That 'Caroline' sure stood out to me in your set Blurry, good work again.
  17. A very excellent night of music, great work to everyone involved in putting this on and thanks for the excellent tunes all night. Who was that guy in the red hat anyway?
  18. Definitely some groovy tunes last night in the Hammer. I had never saw Charlie perform before or really listened to much, if any, of his solo material and for some reason I thought it was going to be a three piece. It may as well have been a three piece as he's got the bass and guitar covered on that crazy guitar of his. The drummer was tight and very driving at some points. They seemed to get lost a few times within the tunes they were playing which, to me, kind of fucked with the tempo I was grooving to. It was a good show but not as jaw-dropping as I thought it might be.
  19. Gobble Gobble peeks my interest, they're pretty intense live from what I hear.
  20. Funions mannnnn....
