Just saying
It's just a 5 game losing streak to start the year. We'll pull out of it I'm sure.
Washington very much considers Neuvirth the future with Vokoun there to mentor him. Granted Vokun will likely get the bulk of the starts but Neuvirth will see a lot of action.
TORONTO - The Toronto Blue Jays are giving Roberto Alomar their highest honour. The club says it will retire the former second baseman's No. 12 at a ceremony before the team's July 31 home game with the Texas Rangers. It will be the first time the Blue Jays have retired a number worn by one of the team's players in the club's 35-year history. Jackie Robinson's number 42 was retired by Major League Baseball in 1997. Team president and CEO Paul Beeston says Alomar is "arguably the best second baseman of all time." Alomar and former Blue Jays general manager Pat Gillick will be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on July 24.
He was pretty cheesed that the Habs did't let him out of his contract to go be an assistant coach with New Jersey when Mclean took over as head coach. It was at that point he told the Habs he would not stay in Montreal if offered another contract.
They definitely got themselves out of two long term contracts, even though Carter and Richards are only 26. The players they received in return are in their early 20's. But that contract for Bryzgalov (31) is nuts.
That's the weeping postion and is where most Canadian National Soccer team players end up at the end of a gane.
Luckily for Holly our womens team is quite good and if she ever makes it to that level she will spend more time celebrating than weeping
