  1. This is the song behind the name. JAMUPTWIST!! TONIGHT in TORONTO !
  2. tonight y'all rare groves, latin, funk, reggae & soul !
  3. the other thing to keep in mind - Dave doesn't have any fancy light show or staging. His tours are more profitable because they don't do multiple costume changes, fireworks, crazy laser light show.. just meat and potatoes live show... Metalica, Lady Gaga, The Rolling Stones, Phish, Pink Floyd, Madonna spend a lot of their incomes on these extras - therefore lowering their take home $.
  4. http://celebkiller.com/ted-williams-is-everywhere/ * Williams made an appearance on last night’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. * Williams and his 90-year-old mother Julia (with whom he reunited yesterday) appeared together on this morning’s The Today Show. * Behind-the-scenes bickering between NBC and CBS over filming rights delayed Ted and Julia Williams’s reunion. * Williams lands a job doing voiceover work for Kraft. * Jack Nicholson reportedly interested in co-starring with Williams in upcoming film. * Patricia Kirtley, Williams’s abandoned wife, speaks: “We survived.â€

  10. Here's a short Christmas Guitar & Fiddle recording I did with my cousin Dan Breault, plus special guest percussionist Dara Klug. This was recorded with no practice and a limited knowledge of recording. Here it is warts and all. We had a lot of fun putting this together as a Christmas Present to our family. I hope you like it! Merry Christmas! Jay & Daniel's Aluminum Christmas Album by NuFunk Canada
  11. Hey Gateaux, point taken. I guess there's no need in telling people my real name. I'm not one to hid behind a pseudonym. P.S. Since you asked, I have some swamp land in Florida you might be interested in... I didn't even know I was in the current issue, it was at the CanJam show a couple weeks ago that Shelby told me about it. I did a informal interview in September and I wasn't sure what publication would be running the story, if any. Thanks Shelby for pointing this out. I really like what MarcO said - that was hilarious. much love to you all on Christmas !
  12. I thought that Joseph was the carpenter.. ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Joseph

  16. it's more of a christmas gift rather than christmas tunes...
  17. great ideas in there too... specifically i'm looking for gifts for the parents and the fiancees parents I've always found it tough to find the right gift for my Dad... maybe tools and hockey jerseys
  18. ha funny you should say that... I've been working on a Christmas album with my cousin Dan... that's definitely one of the presents I'm giving to the fam. It's an instrumental guitar and fiddle songs.. once I get it edited I'll post the set. So far the track listing is Dan R Reel Set Redemption Song Song for my Sister (original) When I'm 64 Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald Whiskey in the Jar
  19. thanks for that Davey, Problem is that I have too many drinking buddies already!
  20. Brad is definitely one of my guitar heros!
  21. Hey Guys, I'm looking for some Christmas gift ideas... I always leave this stuff for the last minute, but I'm gonna get some shopping done this weekend. Anytime it's christmas time, I never have a problem finding gifts for myself - I just bought myself Serato and some new 45 rpm records... I can't justify buying myself anything more until I take care of the parents and my lovely lady. Any ideas for Christmas gifts for the parentals or fiancee ?
  22. IMO - I think Techniques is the top of the food chain for record players.
  23. They are selling turntables at Rotate This... Looks like the Dual has a nice wooden base on some models, I would expect it to go for $200-300. I'm using 2 1200 Techniques MK2, and these badboys are made of thick medal, weight a considerable amount. Tables cost me $450 each - but the stylus & needle cost another $120.
