  6. Wow! Together we’ve made it from top 40, to top 20, and now top 10! CBC Radio 3 is asking Canadians to vote for the best music festival in the country – and we made the Top Ten! In one week CBC Radio 3 will announce the winner of "Searchlight, The BestMusic Festival In Canada". We need you to vote – again – to help us reach our goal. Please vote once per day until 5pm Pacific on March 9th. After that the polls close, and the winner will be announced on Grant Lawrence Live starting at 11am Pacific on March 10th. Take a moment and vote for The Evolve Festival for best Festival in Canada in CBC Radio 3's Top 10 Festivals as voted by Canadians. Evovle Festival has grown to from a small camping party to one of the most important festivals in Canada. Evolve is a one of a kind event that mixes all types of music with social consciousness.

NuFunk Festival starts tonight (Thursday, March 4th) at Rivoli with Kevin Breit & The Sisters Euclid & High Plains Drifter and tomorrow (Friday, March 5th) it's The Souljazz Orchestra CD Release Party at Revival w/ John Kong & Dub Monkey. ....But on Saturday (March 6th) we will transport you all on the NuFunk Mothership docking at 529 Bloor St. (Lee's Palace) on a special trip to NuFunktonia - a new world in an alternate galaxy where getting funky is the main agenda! This intergalactic land will feature 3 sets by Toronto's top Funk bands "God Made Me Funky", "King Sunshine" & "The Main Thing" supported by The Make it Funky Dj (Farbsie, MickeyD & DJ ?uesquecest). It's an amazing line up and I hope you join us for the finale of the NuFunk Festival. You wont want to miss this - these bands have never shared the stage together and are banding together for a special cause - supporting "Engineers without Borders" work in Africa.   10. We'll be there starting at 7pm - doors officially are at 9 pm, but we'll let people in before. Electric Meat have unfortunately had to cancel because of a member who couldn't make it. Kevin Breit & The Sisters will hit the stage by 10:30 PM (which is usual Orbit Room Time I'm told) I hope some skanks can make it and bring a couple of friends... gonna be a rager!
