  3. A writer for 24 Hours in Toronto saw this post (when googling the Toronto Song Contest) and called me up earlier this week to interview me and the House of David gang for an article she is writing about the Song Contest Here's the link 24hrs magazine: http://24hourstoronto.sunmedia.ca/epaper/viewer.aspx the article and photo are on Page 24 also check out the updated song: http://www.myspace.com/houseofdavidgang ****** http://www.toronto.ca/175/song_contest.htm In honour of the City’s 175th anniversary, the City of Toronto is hosting the Toronto SongContest. We’re looking for an original song that is evocative of our wonderful city, a song that will pay homage to Toronto’s amazing spirit and its unparalleled diversity. Compose your song using any lyrical music genre, e.g., pop, rock, folk, roots, hip hop, rap, jazz, world. Songs must be less than four minutes in length. You must submit your song in MP3 format, the lyrics to your song and a short biography (200 words or less) to Sonicbids – the official website of the Toronto Song Contest. - So The House of David Gang has been working on our contribution to this contest and we've posted a rough demo of the song on our myspace page... it's called "Toronto, Ontario" - we would love your feedback. check it out here: www.myspace.com/houseofdavidgang
  4. I hear ya totally on those points, however Jerry the bios I have read seem to speculate that he spent more time than anyone else working on the GD brand from their offices.
  5. Actually I'm looking for Alpine tickets for the first night, if I come up short, I might trade 'em for Bonarroo tickets
  6. The new Dead aren't quite as counter-culture as they seemed to be since Jerry passed on - really goes to show how much of Jerry's personality was a part of their public image decisions. I was never much of a Bobby fan, especially once he did the guest appearance with those Mmbob kids. The insane ticket prices and the lame mainstream appearances are suggesting to me that this is the last ever tour for these Jokers
  7. I've got tickets for Darrien Lake and a pair for the second night of Alpine Valley... I'm ideally looking to score a second pair to the first night at Alpine Valley - any one got 2 they need to pass on? I've been dating a really nice girl for the past 16m months and she's experiencing for the first time the Phish fever - it's cute to hear her tell about the new songs she is loving - I can't wait to take her to these shows. However, I think two night at Alpine or perhaps Bonarro instead might be better. -jay
  8. aww thanks Deeps! It's a rough and tumble job - I love and hate it at the same time.
