  1. it's not the acts as much as the venue... I always find when good acts are put in that environment they succumb to dumbing their music down to appeal the the masses. It's actually a good line up more that I look at it... it's the venue that i dislike. In Terms of Corporate comment: Sharam has upcoming tracks include P. Diddy & Tommy Lee and is a part of the most successful US dance duo in history.
  2. 7/4 - Elaine Elias this woman is awesome! She's in this great film called "Calle 54" and is a smoking hot blonde woman with an amazing latin jazz piano skills. I interviewed her former Husband Randy Brecker and he had still nothing but respect and admiration for her skills.
  3. Not really my bag - MSTRKRFT would be nice to see but the rest of it is type of electronica that is too corporate for me. I always find the venue to be a Asian and random 905 Coke party. Good place to go with some friends, awful place to run into people or make new friends.
  4. awesome parody of Phish, Consider it Dan, Disco Biscuits, Phantasy Tour, and more!
  5. great artist - would love to see him! Are there still tickets available online?

GST) $35.00 (plus service charges) All Ages/ Reserved Seating Xavier Rudd www.xavierrudd.com www.myspace.com/xavierrudd Beloved Australian musician/activist Xavier Rudd is announcing a Canadian tour in support of his latest album Dark Shades of Blue. Loud and psychedelic, Dark Shades highlights a side of Xavier Rudd merely hinted at on earlier releases. The guitar-driven songs, mixed by Joe Barresi (Tool, Queens of the Stone Age), are more complex and rocking than what audiences perhaps expect from the lifelong surfer and Dave Matthews tourmate. Yet fans will not be disappointed, for the new direction still holds true to Rudd’s passion for mixing rock and folk with indigenous instruments and other voices. Xavier Rudd’s return to Canada is anticipated to be met with lots of love across the country . “Good Spirit, Vibe, Energy, Canada and its folk are so deliciously warm and fuzzy, I blissfully await my next big cuddle. See you soon ‘eh!â€- Xavier Rudd
  8. I think Chameleon Project should have been on that bill!! Garth would slay!
  9. Yeah watched 1/2 of the movie and the CGI parts are still in infancy - Still don't get why the bad guy killed Wolverine's girlfriend - that was just a cliche comix book scenario.
  10. This was a great time last year... Chameleon Project played this and was also killer!
  11. The pricing per month on Fido for an I-phone is about $130 tax in a month plus long distance & xtra mintues i haven't checked around - anyone paying similar or less?
  12. I love the concept... but her display at Nuit Blanche Toronto was pretty week. It was a giant crane holding up a black n white sign that said "Imagine Peace" is block letters. Then there was some buttons they were giving out that said the same thing. There was another part of it which was writing your wish on a piece of paper and tying it to a tree - which was cute. mostly I was disappointed... I hope this promises to be much more than that.
  13. I'm thinking of going I-phone. I've been using a Hiptop for awhile and I really enjoyed having web features and all that. The downside was that it was pretty expensive... over the past 5 years I have paid about 10k on my cellphone!! I've got a free Iphone coming to me because I have been a good customer and all that, but I would have to submit to a 3 year contract, especially seeing that there might be some new players in the market I am hesitant. anyone here have any experience with the HTC touch and or Touch blackberry. Do you think that the I phone is in a league of it's own? what's a guy to do here?
  14. awesome DJ, I've been wanting to bring this guy in for awhile... good on ya KC!
  15. very sorry to hear this - Sean i wish you deepest sympathies!
