  1. I was just in Canmore, and it blows me away that there is absolutely no advertising for the show. I'm sure the show will do great, but put up a poster or something. I saw an ad in the paper about the music store. It says you can buy new years tix for the Can. Ho and it doesn't even say who's playing!

    Oh well.

Unfortunately I'm not gonna make it.

    Rock on!

  2. Lots of bitching and agreeing going on around here. No arguing.

    How 'bout this.....

There's way more people in the East which makes for a way bigger and crazier music scene, but the bands and the music from the west is way better!

  3. Get ready for about a month of "Happy Chanukah". It always makes me laugh when Chanukah falls early, then throughout the Christmas season the Christmas celebraters feel guilty for saying merry Christmas to the Jews and say something like, "oh yeah.... Happy Chunukah".

    Either way, 'tis the season.

Happy Chanukah and merry Christmas and happy holidays!

  4. Hey Friendly: Although you didn't get to celebrate with all the Ontarians that you probably would have, had you been there, I feel honoured to have celebrated the evening into the morning of your B-day with you. You havn't lived until you've experinced the birthday song/ shoutout from "Brickhouse"!

Hope your drive is going well. And sorry for being there to encourage such an irrisponsibly late start to the drive!

    See ya probably next week.

  5. I just saw him playing in Courtenay, BC, and he blew me away. Ususally I'm not into the spoken word thing so much, but this guy is freakin good! Spoken word, beat box, blues, folk, awsome harmonica player and he does his beat box thing throught the harmonica.

  7. I've got a couple shows on CD, as well a few still on tape that I taped with my big stereo back in Thunder Bay, and I've got the studio albums.

On topic.... Andy Scott is definetely still in action. Here's his web site and myspace.

He seems to still play a lot in Toronto and I think he teaches at Humber.

The other day while watching hockey on tv here in Vancouver, there was a commercial for some album of a singer or something, and they showed a bunch of footage of recording. Every time they passed by the guitarist, I thaught it was Andy, then finally they showed his face and it was him.

  8. Coming from an Ontarian who's been to tonnes of the early years of CTMF, and a bunch of Evolve Festivals, I'd say that asside from skiing, Bonfire Festival is the greatest excuse to come take a trip out west. I'm sure they're gonna pull it together for next year, so try to make it out!

  9. Bonfire was amazing. I've probably got tonnes to say, but not going to right now. If you want to see other reviews, definetely check out the review section in the upstreamentertainment.com message board and in the bonfirepresents.com message board.

Here's what I could piece together from the Slammin Jack setlest. I may edit this if I ever hear the show or find the piece of paper. It definetely was a real big treat to have the band together again for the practicing and the show. I'll have my fingers crossed in hopes that we do it again next year.
