  2. cool... that's around the time of the Toronto Jazz Festival as well, so we'll have to keep our eyes and ears open...

I just hope P+F isn't too much. I am getting to the point where I would rather not see a show than be gouged, which is why I'm passing on a whole lot of things lately and trying to stick to club/theatre shows, which are more affordable.

I don't know what my threshold is... I just know I've been refusing to shell out tons of $$ for one evening's performance, I don't care who it is.

as for live stuff, I've been spinning Phish: 12/29-31/93 & 11/21-22/97; The New Deal: 1/15-16/02 and 2/15-16/02; and SCI: 10/27/01 & 10/30/01 (thanks again, Trevor).

  6. Just try and keep me away from your luscious, hairy donuts!

I'll be seeing you before the gig, perhaps?

Personally, i had seen lots of bands play before i saw phish play, and to see them for the first time i was in mouth gaping awe! my life was never the same after that. getting into phish opened sooooo many musical avenues for me it sends me spinning.....

  9. My 1st show was 12-7-95 @ Niagara Falls Convention Centre. I can't say it changed my life right there and then, as I was still heavily into a Pro-Grateful Dead bag, and wasn't prepared to accept songs about hitting Possums and ACDC Bags and stuff. Loved the jamming that night though. Mostly, it planted a seed that would really start to grow after the Buffalo 1996 show and especially 12-11-97 Rochester. Eventually, I found myself standing in the middle of the Florida everglades, dancing with a blue glowstick for eight consecutive hours, but that's another story....

Gotta say, though, I got a copy of that Niagara Falls show a few years later, and it was a fucking great show! I just didn't know at the time.

I bet the Phish-related content will pick up as band member tours are underway, and especially if/when an official announcement is made on the end of the hiatus. I'm a long-time rumour watcher, and personally I'm inclined to believe the rumours that a Fall Tour will go down this year.
