  1. WMVY Martha's Vineyard It's the station that suits me at work. Not too abrasive (RAWK!) nor too polite (zzzzz). It's the kind of station that will mix Bruce Cockburn with Bruce Hornsby with Umphrey's McGee with Roseanne Cash with Trey Anastasio with Guster with The Beatles with Wilco with James Taylor with The Decemberists and cap it all of by inexplicably playing a live Sugar Magnolia from a Dicks Picks volume just for the hell of it. Right now it's Springsteen's "In The Night", one of my favorites from The Boss. Anyway, they picked up on Wine Women and Song and play it regularly.
  2. They play that tune on the station I listen to at work and I dig it. Haven't really enjoyed the couple of shows I sampled regarding Umph's but that tune = very good.

  10. alright, fine. Hadn't noticed the missed entry. So here's a good example of the kind of confusion that can unfold when we don't keep on top of things. Yes I do still regularly listen to the Grateful Dead, and I have no trouble identifying why that is: their songs were/are MUCH better. A good jam is nice but a good song is mint. imo.
  14. New Rider uses the google search, I just know it......
  15. we got right side balcony row J, last row. now there's only gallery seats left.
  16. Dude, you're the only one we'll listen too! The game's as good as y'all make it. I put a lot of effort into maintaining that theme list and asked for any suggestions to make it better, garnering a minimum of responses. If it's not going to be used, I can certainly stop maintaining it. In my opinion, if a theme is going to be repeated, I don't see any point in repeating the songs within that theme. But ya gotta make a bit of an effort to make it right. Keep on rockin.
  17. the captain has it #6.... sorry bradm, I had to remove mine too.

They were a special band, that is for sure. I don't think we've seen the end of them. I've had a real hard time listening to them for a long time now, though. Now that there's no current context to feed the jones for observation and general trainspotting - and not content to just transfer those implulses onto someone else - they get fleeting plays around my place. And for now, I'm perfectly ok with that. but I am totally sympathetic to your enthusiams, bro. My first show was Niagara Falls 1995 and it was a trip and a half! Nice band, shame about the drugs.
  19. Billy Bragg and Wilco, Mermaid Avenue Vol II
  20. you got 'em Sarah! Best of luck tomarrow! ((((( sarahbelle )))))
