  1. v.2 update now, whoever picks the theme also gets to provide a title for the album, should they wish. of course, it's perfectly acceptable to not title your album too.
  2. when it's close, as happens more than I could have anticipated, maybe it's best to just re-post the amended list, rather than edit the original. People, including myself, are missing the "edited" small-font note showing the original has been changed. A re-post makes it easier for the next person to just pick it up with less backtracking. just a thought.
  3. I hope you and the other 39 people in the audience enjoy that, if it happens.

  6. wow, this thread took off more than I thought! I really enjoy seeing some of your responses, keep it up! With a recap posted above, perhaps it might be good to remind everyone of the few simple rules here: * each album has to have a different theme. * Whoever adds the last song of the album gets to say what the theme for the next album will be and it starts all over again. They also get to start that theme off with it's first track. Got it? * songs must be as they would appear on an official release. No live versions from bootlegs, unreleased studio stuff, fantasy indulgences etc. Song doesn't exist except in your own mind? Can't make the album. * you're allowed one choice per album * where two posts are made simultaneously, it is up to the author of the second of the two posts (as they appear on the board) to edit and re-post the list accordingly. Always a good idea to check your post after you've sent it. * please post as "track number > artist > song title", for easier reading.

  8. Bourdain, as usual, is bang on. I was a Food TV addict for some time but they removed most of the real chefs who just happened to take on a TV show, and replaced them with TV personalities who just happened to take on a food show. They REALLY dumbed down their content and turned it more into a "lifestyle" channel than a food network. I haven't seen the show Dimafuck mentioned but I guess I'm missing nothing.

    I Am The Enemy

relax dude, you are Luke Bowden, resident of Guelph, friend to many, nemesis to some, writer, human, son, brother, magnetic and repulsive in some dynamic measure (just as we all are). You're just a pile of mucus, flesh and puss like the rest of us. Nobody's "The" anything. They're just who they are.
  19. Let's maybe make sure this isn't turning into a "Fantasy" kind of thing. You could make a theme as fantastic as you like, but the album itself should be recommendations, not fantasies. That's how I feel anyway, but do what you will. You can do as you please, obviously, but I admit I was hoping for something in the spirit of the "5 Disc Rotation" threads, just with songs rather than albums. Recommendations. So, I'm assuming there is a release out there with that Nero song with a horn section?
