  1. Thanks for making this show happen Daveymouse. I certainly had a fun night. The Harvard Rat experiment went well I thought, and I can see it happening again.

King Roller played a nice set of "psychedelic country rock" with a mix of covers (ABB, Dead, etc.) and originals. These guys are solid ... check 'em out if you have the chance.

And it was a special treat seeing GUITARZAN and M out at this show. :)

    Peace, Mark

  2. Ditto on the "great night last night" theme!

I've always loved Diesel Dog's song "Dirt Road" and it was nice to hear the Steve Elmo Diesel Dog version of the song.

Professor "Louie" can carry a song! He's an excellent singer and he sure can play the Hammond organ and the accordian. I've never heard "accordian feedback" before! All of the players in the band were solid, and the 3 part harmonies were sweet!

There's nothing quite like a party upstairs at the Lanc with a bunch of friends! :)

    Peace, Mark

  3. I remember sleeping in the tent at Izzy's and waking up to them playing Blind Willie McTell - got me out of my tent right quick!!

I was already at the stage when they started playing Blind Willie McTell and I remember thinking "timouse should be here as he loves The Band and this song." The next thing I know I see timouse hurrying toward the stage to check out what was going on. :)

Yes it's a Dylan song, but it is on The Band's cd Jericho, which was co-produced by Aaron L. Hurwitz (Professor "Louie"). I'd love to hear it again.

    Looking forward to Friday night!

    Peace, Mark

  4. I walked in to the Boathouse 5 minutes before Fista's guitar playing adventure. She was dancing up front, and Big Gilson came out onto the dance floor and got her to start strumming on his guitar in time with the band. That was lots of fun, but only the beginning. He then strapped his guitar onto Fista, and standing right behind her, he had her jamming and playing lead guitar with the band. He then proceeded to walk her to the back of the Boathouse, out the back door and around the building, and all this time Fista (with Big Gilson's help) was wailing on the guitar and jamming with the band. There were huge smiles everywhere as Fista and Big Gilson finally walked in through the front door, guitar-a-blazing and totally in synch with the band. What a blast! Hopefully some pictures will surface soon!

Bravo to Fista for going with the flow and shredding on guitar in a big way! Fista rocks!!

    Peace, Mark
