  1. I'm just wondering if I actually posted that here.
  2. What? No retro-quote to back that up?
  3. Too bad Florida sucks so much ass. There's no way you bastards can't make the playoffs now.
  4. Backing your ass into the playoffs... where have I seen that before?
  5. Let's win ONE against the Bs this year. GO SENS GO!!
  6. The reason I asked is when I last saw him in Ottawa there was a constant stream of "older fans" making their way to the front of the stage to take photos. And I mean *constant*. I'd never seen anything like it.
  7. For fucks sake, is it too much to ask for a competitive final?
  8. Sportsnet won't even splurge for Les Brahs in HD?
  9. Yeah, when I saw him at the 2006 show (that long ago already) I was blown away by his playing. I had no idea he could do that.
  10. Cool! Were there lots of old people taking photos?
  11. Posting this for someone at work... Music Director Wanted for November 2009 Pantomime Red Riding Hood The Lakeside Players is a family community theatre group run totally by volunteers. The 17th panto will be perfomred in the second week of November. Rehearsals for leads are Mondays and Thursdays at Ron Kolbus Lakeside Centre in Britannia where the production is staged. Sunday afternons the chorus and leads rehearse at the Nepean Creative Arts Centre in Bells Corners. Rehearsals start the first week of September, with no rehearsals during Thanksgiving. The Music Director (MD) is needed to attend the Sunday rehearsal and one of the week night rehearsals. During the run, the 5-piece band is conducted by the MD. There are 5 performances and a dress rehearsal. This role could be played by a team. Auditions are held in May/June. Cast receive a CD of the music for learning over the summer. Leads consist of 12 – 15 youth and adults, chorus is approximately 25-30 children ages 6 – 14. A traditional British-style panto is full of comedy, cross-dressing, animals, antics and audience participation. This entertainment is suitable for school age children and their families. Our audiences average 200 per show. Tickets are a reasonable $10/8/5. We are looking for someone who loves children and fun and can share their musical talents with everyone to bring the music to life. The scripts are from England, where pantos are a tradition at Christmas. Parents and friends perform the backstage and behind the scenes roles and we support community volunteering for high school students. Please contact us at: info@lakesideplayers.com Or call Sue at 613-829-9565 for more information. Help us bring the magic of theatre to the young, both on stage and in the audience.
