Oh yeah, full cover after midnight sucked but I figured the bands deserved it. I didn't see any posters either, which is why I brought it up. I travel the downtown core on a daily basis and usually see Mavericks gig posters all over the place.

Sure, that's how pinned topics are supposed to work. What I and some others are saying is that pinned topics simply do not draw out attention. Call me dense but it's true.

I liked the show. It was a short set, about 50 minutes, but I expected that. Lots of favourites were played: Casper the Friendly Ghost, Walking the Cow, Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Your Grieviance, Speeding Motorcycle, Devil Town and others. The band worked well with Johnston under the circumstances. I was amused by Daniel chain smoking in Zaphods before the show.

Kinda dumb move on Starbucks part. I understand this woman's point of view -- I wouldn't want to purchase a cup of coffee that had the Lord's Prayer written on the side. But then Starbucks is already annoying for so many reasons.

Some great tunes for those of us who showed up, thanks to the bands for coming out and ripping it up for us regardless. At least the tapes won't be chatty. That end of Rideau Street seems to be turning into a bit of a ghost town. And it doesn't feel too safe either. Saw a guy getting ready to hit his crack pipe on Friday night. University students went back home last weekend so that probably had an effect as well. And, I didn't see any advertising outside of this forum. The show wasn't even listed on Mavericks marquee until last night. Anyway, enough rambling about the turnout. The music was great and I'm glad to have been there. And yo!
