  1. What's the order of bands for Saturday? I think Mavericks capacity is just under 200.
  2. I missed it. What'd they play?
  3. What a fantastic turn of events!
  4. Bob McKenzie just negotiated a $450,000 contract out of Roenick to play for the Leafs. TV gold!
  5. Oh man I cringed when I saw that headline on digg. How about just "Parents found guilty of infant murder by starvation". Just adds to the vegan FUD as it is.
  6. Damn you're older than me! I feel a Magnum post coming on.
  7. I remember when 9pm Thursday was the most coveted spot for a sitcom in television. I know Seinfeld had it for years, before that Cheers. But wasn't The Cosby Show the original king of that timeslot? Memory is failing.
  8. Ghostface Killah - Fishscale P.S. Great show MarcO!
  9. Listening to Millen navigate the waters of colour commentary around a blithering Bob Cole is what I like to call the game within the game.
  10. Laughing my ass off!! After reading that I don't think I ever want Bob to retire. Zoltar the Denier!! Feschuk is great.
  11. Can we make a trade for him?
  12. Is the dog gonna be there?
  13. Saw a dude driving through town yesterday, Jersey plates and sporting a Devils jersey. That's a heckuva drive on a school night. Good for him.
  14. I enjoyed watching Roenick defend overtime hockey and then taunting Duthie with "You don't love the game, you just work it." That was great.
  15. Someone just threw a shark on the ice in San Jose. Name me any other major league sport where that can happen. No, I didn't think so.
  16. Thank you. That's exactly the one I was thinking about.
  17. "Icing to start the game." Players line up for face off in the neutral zone. "Well obviously that was an offside." I think Cole even knows how bad he is. He's taking a lot of long pauses before finishing his thoughts.
  18. Soldiers chanting "Go Sens Go!" was awesome and touching.
  19. Referring to Brodeur's catching glove: "He even let me try it on!" What a dweeb. Nice start but the game is young.
  20. I wonder what Al Gore would call a plan that involved bringing 25,000 glowsticks to a festival. Sorry, not gonna let that one go just yet.
  21. A moment during Umphrey's, Toronto April 17th, 2007 Concert Review By Lara Purvis Brendan Bayliss The chanting was demanding and loud, "Umphrey's! Umphrey's! Umphrey's!" calling the Chicago band back to the stage for their encore. Most of the band was downstairs, taking a moment in the Toronto Opera House's green room, and doing whatever it is that bands do in those frenzied moments. google_ad_client = "pub-8241045454770105"; google_ad_width = 250; google_ad_height = 250; google_ad_format = "250x250_as"; google_ad_type = "text_image"; google_ad_channel ="9487450232"; google_color_border = "FCFAED"; google_color_bg = "FCFAED"; google_color_link = "003366"; google_color_url = "003366"; google_color_text = "003366"; //--> Drummer, Kris Myers and stage manager Robbie Williams stood sidestage, stunned by the Canadian crowd's reaction. "Wow, that's crazy," muttered Myers, leaning against the wall, exhilarated. The chanting only got louder, and Williams responded, heading to the top of the stairs and yelling downstairs at the guys to get their asses upstairs. The sound of their feet, thumping on the wooden stairs and their laughter as they returned, was only just audible through the roar of the crowd. The significance of the moment wasn't lost on the band. In an interview on Jambands.ca prior to the rare Toronto show, singer and guitarist, Brendan Bayliss had intimated that more frequent Canadian shows would be in the works, if this Toronto show went over well. It was their very first full solo concert in Canada and the crowd was chanting, bellowing - things had gone well. Grins on their faces, they took their places back on stage. They downed one last swig of their beers before launching into the encore, "2 x 2," sharing with Toronto just a few more moments of that special blend that we call 'um. 22. It's almost like I open this forum with muscle memory. I know there's a game on. I've been reminding myself for the past hour not to open Rich Stadium. But I am a fucking idiot.
