  1. Jane's Addiction were great but I did not like Perry Farrell's penchant for changing some of the vocal lines and they ended almost 15 minutes early! (And came on late.) "Ocean Size" was epic though.
  2. I still have an image from last night in my head. Did anyone get a photo of it? Jim James face down on the piano for the segue between Touch Me Pt. 2 and Good Intentions. Chills!
  3. Oh! Ask Jaimoe! I think they suck but if you like singers with a pretentious Jim Morrison fetish you might like them.
  4. Fuck that was awesome last night.
  5. Minus the typo I'm in 100% agreement. I'd also be suspicious of why he wants it back. But that's just me.
  6. Aw I'm sorry bouche. Here's some content to make up for it. Did anyone catch Protest The Hero last night on the MBNA stage? I thought they were a good progressive metal band, from Whitby Ontario. The singer was hilarious with the banter. This is what I can remember, and totally paraphrased. Guy had wicked timing. and after a few more songs...
  7. Friday's (@ the Subway stage) makes a good burger and a passable poutine.
  8. Welcome to Monday. http://www.jambands.ca/sanctuary/showtopic.php?tid/260546/
  9. What am I missing about A Perfect Circle? I like Tool a lot but APC's set last night was boring. Their sound and look reminded me of a heavier Disintegration-era The Cure, minus all the good songs. I do not get this band at all. Peter Frampton heckling the popcorn guy with his mouth guitar was hilarious.
  10. I can vouch for the meatball sub at Fitz's as well. Looks like they've switched to frozen fries though.
  11. Prime Rib sandwich from Baton Rouge gets a thumbs down. It's a pretty tasteless roast beef sammy for $12.
  12. Anyone who ran into me last night heard me complain about the beer lines. Am I wrong or were those not the longest lines ever? I drank 2 beers on a Friday night @ BFest. That's what drove me away -- not the rain! I never bring snoots but considering it tonight because with The Hip as the main draw I think it's going to be more of the same.
  13. Thanks Marcus! Really looking forward to this... you have not steered me wrong in the past.
  14. No! Did you catch the costumed dude smoking a J on-stage @ the Flaming Lips? No rules up there man.
  15. Thankfully we have Colin Greening to take over the mantle of best interview in hockey. Godspeed Ry Ry!
  16. He was really great, eh? I loved his throwback performance style. Almost every song was introduced with "I got a lot of requests for this next number...". I totally didn't clue in to the Blood, Sweat and Tears connection until he mentioned it. Too bad about the sound bleed though.
  17. It's a shame how under attended the former Black Sheep stage has been this year. They should do more to advertise its presence in the other stage areas. The Hard Rock stage went dark early last night and there was no way to know there was more live music just around the corner. At least its a nice respite when you need a rest from the chaos. As to the new stage setup... I think I prefer it this way. One major benefit is that you get a much better sight line when you are stuck at the back of the crowd. No longer does the soundboard take up most of the view past a certain point. Probably my biggest complaint is all the money the $6 beers are costing me! Had a good time last night. A sweaty Girl Talk show followed by some oldies tunes by David Clayton-Thomas was the perfect marriage.
  18. Skrillex almost killed me. Gonna drag myself to Girl Talk to finish the job.
  19. Too late: http://www.jambands.ca/sanctuary/showtopic.php?tid/260523/ Click on the link to find the name of the vendor I visited last night, who happen to sell those meatball sandwiches you saw.
