  1. It would be one of: Acres (live recordings of which can be found here) LURE (live recordings of which can be found here) The 3 Jimmys The John Henrys The Souljazz Orchestra I'd put David Lauzon (live recordings of whom can be found here), but I think he's a Perth act now... Does anybody know if Real Gone Daddies are still in operation? Aloha, Brad

I admire your ambition. (And the contents of your liquor cabinet. I went to the LCBO at Rideau & King Edward last night, hoping to get one of those Talisker 3x200mL packs, but they didn't have any. ) Aloha, Brad

I'm planning on tidyinstuff this weekend, along with playinguitar. Aloha, Brad
  5. Let us know how things are at The New Bayou; I haven't been there since before it closed and re-opened (again). Aloha, Brad
  6. The offer is now closed. Aloha, Brad

    IRON MAN

    I don't. Aloha, Brad
  8. There's also some ska happening this weekend: http://www.jambands.ca/sanctuary/showtopic.php?tid/246970/ Aloha, Brad
  9. Not quite: that's actually the percentage of male clients at the Mission who are crack addicts. Aloha, Brad
  10. Today's question: Which currently touring/active artists that you haven't yet seen live do you really want to see? For me, Steve Kimock Band is at the top of the list. I've listened to a bunch of his shows, and am floored by each and every one of them. Aloha, Brad
  11. According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Ross Aloha, Brad
  12. And it would have cost you 50 cents too. Preach on brother Beavis! As well, a lot of pay phones (like the ones on the bus platform at the Kennedy subway station in Toronto) don't take coins anymore, just credit or pre-paid phone cards. Aloha, Brad
  13. If you're in Ottawa and are going to moe.down, but haven't yet ordered a ticket, I'll be placing an order tomorrow for three tickets, which means I have room for one more ticket in the order. The early bird price is US$90 (+ service charge and shipping; the shipping charge will be split across the tickets), and I think that's in effect until the end of June, after which it goes up. I won't need the money until I actually get the ticket to you, so if you don't have the cash now, there's no problem; I expect the tickets to show up in mid-August (which is when they've arrived in past years), and it'll be a direct in-person ticket-for-cash swap, so as long as you'll have the cash then, you're fine. If you're in Ottawa and want a ticket, send me a PM before noon Friday. http://www.moe.org/moedown/ Aloha, Brad
  14. You're pregnant, maybe? Aloha, Brad
  15. I shudder at the thought of which ads Google will deliver to it... Aloha, Brad
  16. http://www.moe.org/moedown/?c=200 has them listed, too. Aloha, Brad
  17. Someone needs to design a bong with one of those universal remotes built in: put the buttons on the vertical tube (and the business end of the remote in the base maybe), to be operated with the hand that holds the bong; this would free up the other hand to do the lighting. Aloha, Brad
  18. The Friday and Saturday shows start at 9pm, while the Sunday show starts at 4pm. http://www.theblacksheepinn.com/ Aloha, Brad
  19. Canon cameras are actually hackable, which can unlock features that may be listed as unavailable on certain models: http://lifehacker.com/387380/turn-your-point+and+shoot-into-a-super+camera Aloha, Brad
  20. If you're at all into books or the history of the Beats, City Lights Bookstore is an essential stop. Aloha, Brad
  21. On Saturday at Zaphod Beeblebrox, Zaki Ibrahim is playing, which sounds kind of interesting: Note that this is an early show, as is usual at Zaphod: doors at 8pm, music starts around 9pm, music ends at 11pm, with the bar being turned over to DJs after that. Barrymore's is re-opening on Saturday after some renovations, and is having a free retro '90s DJ night, which might appeal to someone who just wanted to get out and drink somewhere with music going on. Aloha, Brad
  22. There isn't much in Ottawa this weekend, as far as I can tell. Is there any particular type of music they like (or hate)? Aloha, Brad
