  3. A recently unearthed recording of BNB at moe.down in 2004. (I recorded them that weekend, but my discs sound overloadly crappy, unlistenable; one of the Daves I know was also recording, and this weekend he gave me a stack of MDs to transfer and upload.) Aloha, Brad

    BEER!!

Thanks, ollie! I think I had that the last time I was in Toronto (at Victory Cafe), but would love to grab a six for home research. They now have Broadhead's Pale Ale (I think that's the one) as the "featured tap" at Irene's Pub. It's nicely/mildly hoppy and not too malty Aloha, Brad
  8. Not just yet. I'm still chopping it up, and I'm going to run it by the band to get their OK for uploading it. (I've given them the previous two nights, but they haven't got back to me about them yet.) Aloha, Brad

  13. Happy Day, fluff! It was great hanging out with you at Bob Loblaw & Death Cake. Aloha, Brad
  14. Last night was great to hear. They did three sets, with the middle one featuring guests, including a couple of guys from The Dusty Drifters: There was a good, enthusiastic, crowd there that was digging every moment (and which called for two encores), and the band felt it and delivered a great show, tons of fun all around. Aloha, Brad
  15. It was much more fun last night. The crowd was still pretty small (about as big as it was on Monday night), but they were there for the music (or got hooked by it; a couple of random walk-ins [Finnish guys in suits] dug the band immensely, and even bought CDs), and the night just had a better, more fun, feel end to end. The sound was also better. They did two sets: Tonight is night #3, at Irene's Pub. I think Irene's is trying to get Wednesday night shows started and ended earlier (the show time is listed as 8pm), so with any luck it won't go too late tonight. Aloha, Brad

  17. It was pretty good, but there wasn't much of a crowd there for the show, which limited how fun it was. Here's the set list: The show (one big set) was a good 100 minutes, and a lot of my favourite tunes (esp. "End Of The World" and "Time Travel") were pulled out, but the lack of a crowd kind of gave a weird vibe to the night. Part of the problem was that the band was the early entertainment for the night (and a Monday night taboot): they had to get going around 8:30pm, and finished just after 10:00pm, after which was an open stage thing. Tonight it's just them, with a more usual, later, start and end, so we'll see how it goes. Aloha, Brad
  18. Re-bump for the second show, tonight. Aloha, Brad
  19. Bump for the first show, tonight. Aloha, Brad
