so are the spades back to playing thursdays at the white house now?
-
I'll be there with a few folks in tow.
I would suggest to the promoter that they start postering this show. I was downtown at the Only yesterday and didn't see any postings for this show.
I would think that the hunter street crowd and the university will be your biggest draw.
Also looking forward to checking out WTTS.

One thing I think that should be noted is that your grammer and spelling abilities should not be considered a reflection of your intelligence.
Some people with dyslexia and other learning disorders can't spell, have a hard time with grammer and other problems relating to reading, writing. So how someone posts isn't necessarily a reflection of how they talk or think.
I completly suck at spelling and grammer and if it wasn't for spell check this thread would have been illegible.
John Lennon, Bob Weir, Winston Churchill, Thomas Edison, and Albert Einstien are a just of a few of more notable people with dyslexia.
Here's what one einstiens teachers told his father "his teachers reported that he was mentally slow, unsociable, and adrift forever in his foolish dreams."
Disclaimer: This was post was not a meant to diminish anyone elses opinions on grammer/spelling, but to offer a different point of view.
well, except for Canned Beats. He needs a kick in the junk.

payola has always existed, only now they call it independant promotion. if it gets played on air in the states, someone payed for it.
-
Maybe it's just me but I couldn't jusyt couldn't face paying that much for and Ibenez or any japanese guitar.
Although it looks like the real deal.
but you'd pay it if was american made? I have played and owned many ibanez guitars that blow away usa made guitars.
luckly, the preconceived idea that only americans can make good guitars, is helping to keep the price of vintage ibanez's down.
I wouldn't buy this guitar because if I was going to drop $6000+ on a guitar it would be made to my specs and in canada.

I too miss the juggernaut that was nero. I was thinking about a show I saw in lindsey last fall. no PA just amps and drums. Fucking amazing. I fell in love with the tune medicated that night.
I really hope that the disbanding of nero doesn't spell the end of what is a really great catalog of songs. I was looking forward to seeing how medicated and other new tunes were going to evolve.

Just got the word from the ibanez collecters board that Ibanez plans on releasing the Custom "Cowboy" guitar.
These are new guitars, being built in an extremely limited quantity. Because the originals were truly custom-made guitars (for Bob Weir and Bobby Cochran) it's hard to call them a "reissue"... more like a resurrection from the dead. These are truly HAND-MADE guitars from the Japanese factory.
Only 30 will be made, about half will be headed to the US. The rest will be dispersed around the world. These are HAND-MADE in Japan. They will be officially announced at the end of the month at the Summer NAMM show in Indiannapolis. This is not a rumour, this is official news straight from Hoshino USA in Bensalem, PA. This pre-announcement has been disclosed exclusively to ICW and its members.
The price tag.......a whopping $6,666.59
