I can't, though, find much empathy for the guy who split during a China Cat to cross the street for a beer.
I'm glad for the folks that had the seats next to him that he decided to cross the street...nothing worse that trying to enjoy yourself while the guy next to you is intent on finding fault with every little detail. Bet he though that the beer was warm, too.

I'll be in Hamilton for most of the evening, but if I can get down that way with bass in hand, save a Jack Straw or a Sugar Mag for me... either way, rock the house tonight!

I second the China > Rider...

Damn..I always love those posters Chuck.
See ya there...
I can't take any credit for this one; all the kudos go to Timmouse's spouse, Niffermouse...it's undoubetedly the finest poster that the Rose Garland name has had the pleasure to grace!
-
Nice job on the poster!
Yes...well done! And I find the yellow brick road to be a wonderful touch, too!
-
Come one, come all...it's never too early to make your plans!
-
Just a little reminder...hope to see a few smilin' faces and dancin' feet!
-
Hey Now...who's going to join the office party Saturday night?
-
Hey Now!!!
Last night was a whole lotta fun! Thanks for the CJers for having us, and here's to hoping that we'll be pairing up again in the near future; we'll also have to work out a killer end of night jam fest, too!
Rose Garland's set:
Jack Straw > Greatest Story Ever Told; Dark Star > St. Stephen > William Tell Bridge > The Eleven > Jam > Estimated Prophet > Cryptical Envelopment > The Other One > Wharf Rat > The Other One > Cryptical Envelopment > Truckin' > The Golden Road (To Unlimited Devotion)
-
Deb, I'd love to see you and Dave there...it's been a while since we've had the opportinity or the time to simply sit down and talk about whatever...I'm really looking forward to it!

We definitely need more nudity at our shows!
-
If you're interested in catching the whole show (and if you're not, don't say that I didn't warn you ), may I suggest showing up to the Pepper Jack a wee bit early Friday night and having a brew or two...we're aiming at being on stage at 9:45pm, with a good 2 hours of the Dead done Rose Garland-style to warm up those dancin' shoes of yours for Caution Jam!
-
It least I don't have to worry anymore about being arrested...

A 100 pound girl who eats 6% of her body weight? Hot:
"Hot" would be if she could swallow the whole thing at once.

Trying to choose the best Eyes is is like trying to choose the best supermodel to have sex with... when it comes right down to it, they're all good. Probably the most consistently well-played song of the Dead's career.

Rose Garland opening for Caution Jam, Friday February 11th, 2005 at the Pepper Jack...
Thanks y'all, I believe that you've inadvertantly come up with our set list for the evening...
St. Stephen >
Eleven Jam >
William Tell Bridge >
Eyes of the World >
King Solomon's Marbles Jam >
Playing In The Band >
Scarlet Begonias >
Other One >
Wharf Rat >
Other One >
Uncle John's Band >
Morning Dew >
Playing reprise >
St. Stephen
If that earns an encore, you'll get yer Brokedown Palace...
Dark Starr - A (Would have given a higher score had Dark Star been included in that wonderful looking setlist)
OK, I'm easily swayed... you'll get yer Dark Star. Granted, we'll have to start playint at 7pm to fit it all in.

give me some dates you are available, and I will talk to Mark the owner....
How about Boxing Day? I think that we'd be up for another holiday Sunday gig, since the Thanksgiving show was so well attended.
-
We'd be more than happy to play the Canadian again... let's set something up.
-
The Red Dog in Peterborough and Jimmy Jazz in Guelph are on my "to call" list...
-
London...call the office.
I called. They don't accept "cover bands". I tried to explain that bands that jam, by their very nature, sould be considered "original", since we're writing music on the fly.
That argument didin't go over.

Come on up to cottage country. We are in desperate need of some good live music up here
Do you have a venue up that way that I should be calling?
Chuck

Upstairs or downstairs?

With the new year almost upon us, I'm looking to start filling up the calendar. We'd like to bring our own special brand of the Grateful Dead circus to a venue near you...any suggestions?
