dave-O
I've often wondered if the Desseronto Arena ever upgraded their tractor for a zamboni?

Dr. J
Luther Wright & The Wrongs had a great song once upon a time called The Harold Harvey Rink ... hey Skelter do you know if they ever recorded it. I'd love to get a hold of it. my brothers and I worked at the rink for years. Because we lived so close we always got the early shift which meant we had to open for 6 o'clock practices. Like Booche says it was damn COLD. In fact when it first opened it was an outdoor rink. Only the change rooms, canteen and office were inside the building. We used to flood with the old 40 gal. drums welded to a set of handles and pair of wheels. When a team didn't show up for their practice as sometimes happened, we would throw on our skates grab a stick and a bucket of pucks and have the arena to ourselves. Great times...fond memories, but yeah friggin' cold.

skelter
Not that I know of Dr. J ... I played there for years myself in the mid 80's to early 90's ... I drank iced tea mixed with piss in that arena, though not by choice (stupid hockey pranks) When I see him next I'll ask him about it
