Tungsten Gruvsten
Damn some mighty fine suggestions! Trev that live Baker/Kuti disc is phenomenal, and Brain Freeze is a hard to find Shadow gem, sea and cake are often overlooked(same studios and drummer as Tortoise) So I never hear anything about Alice Donut - i've been on a fugazi/nomeansno/alice donut bender lately and damn they are one fine and creative group. They even do a cover of "War Pigs" with a trombone.... And i've been on a big cali-rock bender lately fueled by Fu Manchu and more importantly Brant Bjork who rocked my fuggin ass off in Hamilton. Turns my toyota into a muscle car when I turn it up. And an old favourite has to be Mercury Rev. Their lineup has changed over the years but I love all the albums. pickup "Yerself Is Steam" ...make sure you get the bonus CD which counts to 99 tracks and includes the bonus "Carwash Hair"....
