bouche
We just had a great lunch at Hot Peppers on Somerset and Lyon. IT's mainly thai, but I think they have a fusion of carribean flavours as well.
Del
1 for 1 Pizza, on the corner of Bank and Lisgar... 2 huge slices and a can of soda for $5... It's great pizza as well...
Boochawan
Even though I won't eat it, the guys in the band love this place called "Georgies" and they always get the gravy pizza...which is essentially a slice of pizza SOAKED in gravy. Any other Ottawans a fan of this stuff?

Ms.Huxtable
We went to Golden Turtle on Booth Street for lunch yesterday. It had been a while. I forgot how YUMMY it is.There's a Persian restaraunt (sort of cafeteria style service with a patio and dining room) on Laurier Street, just west of Bank Street. Great value. Ms.Huxtable
Might I add also that for the very first time in my life, I had a beer with lunch on a work day. It's made for a very pleasant afternoon. I really didn't think I could fit any more drinks into my life, but there you go.

Ms.Huxtable
Is this your answer for calls to start up a food/recipe forum? Well yes, but also we were in serious need of a food diary. We cook unique meals so often and then they are gone forever. This will help us recreate the things that were a success. It's really easy to write about food. Any other Ottawans a fan of this stuff? Been there, Done that!!! We had friends who introduced Dinghy and I to pizza with gravy. I fought it, but eventually I was convinced. It's one of those things that you won't beleive it's good until you try it and think to yourself "wow that is good!" Pizza + Gravy = YUMMY! Freak By Night
So I have to ask. What else is on this pizza with gravy? Is it a regular slice of pizza with toppings and gravy on top? Or do they soak the dough in gravy? Regular slice, gravy poured over top of it.
Davey Boy 2.0
this thread should definately be merged with MarcO's deep fried goodness thread...how about deep fried pizza + gravythere's my million-dollar idea, anyone who steals it will be hearing from my lawyer (and watch out, he's Samoan)
