livingstoned
He's got an aritcle in the National Post today....good read but especially nice when it says he enjoys younger audiences, and Canadian audiences. From the article: collaboration with MMW in 1997 garnered him a whole new young audience which he enjoys "They are so open for expermentation, if you want to take [the music] out and play wild sounds and just see what happens, they go for that. I love playing for them when they get physically involved and start to dance. I think that is fun as hell." He also says he really enjoys the Canadian audience - not suprised that he made a fool of himself dancing on stage at the Toronto Jazz Festival last year - he's not surprised that happend in Canada. He says: "The Canadian Scene is really important to jass. Us musicians in the USA are trying to figure out why its so hip. Does it mean there's a little more respect for the arts? I don't know; I can't figure it out, but its pretty cool up there."
