CyberHippie
Download the sound clip from the link below, then record the tone onto the begininng of your answering machine message. It will fool the call centre computers into thinking the number is disconnected, they'll remove your number from the database. http://www.scn.org/~bk269/errorbeeps45.wav

NewRider
i like chatting it up with telemarketers though.. it's fun.Seriously, if telemarketers didn't call I'd have no one to talk to until Alexis comes home.
CyberHippie
Personally telemarketers have killed the phone for me, I don't answer it anymore. Hoping this will help, so I only get the calls I want.

ollie
Download the sound clip from the link below, then record the tone onto the begininng of your answering machine message. It will fool the call centre computers into thinking the number is disconnected, they'll remove your number from the database. You can also ask them to remove you from their list and they have to comply. Easiest way to get rid of a telemarketer is to say, "Please take me off your call list." This gets you right to the end of the script without having to say "No." a dozen times. Tooly
"We're sorry. We did not find a listing for the phone number you entered. The phone number "(416) 920-6649" is based in Toronto, ON and the registered carrier is Bell Canada. However, due to number portability, some numbers have been transferred to a new service provider other than the registered carrier.
