zero Posted May 9, 2006 Report Share Posted May 9, 2006 I was watching all of Spike Jonze's videos last night and had forgotten about the Pharcyde's Drop - it's done in reverse, long takes but I did some reading up because it looked like they were rapping it forwards. Turns out Spike hired a linguist to transcribe the whole thing and make it consonontal or what have you then they had to memorize all of this gibberish (Dak Tey How Fo Blah Blah). He was really impressed that on tour and after partying and what not they'd all do their homework- it works in reverse but wouldn't have if they hadn't put the time in to really learn it.
