bradm
Oh, man, that was one of my favourite lunches during my grade school years. I think there should be ketchup on top, but aside from that, I wouldn't add anything. I'd also make sure that regular old Kraft slices were used, not any fancy cut-it-yerself cheese. Yes, cheezy cheese is best in this situation.Aloha,Brad

rubberdinghy
Bacon does go with everything....however the fat content of them pork and beans is much more that than bacon...
Davey Boy 2.0
Bacon does go with everything....however the fat content of them pork and beans is much more that than bacon...right so what's your point, son? By that logic, you're lowering the average fat content per gram by adding the bacon, making it healthier (if i'm reading "much more that than bacon" correctly. and if not who gives a flying fook, it's BACON!) snarfmaster C
mmmm yummy!i mix some mustard (dried powdered or prepared) and cayenne in with the beans (tomato sauce only, no animal products for me)butter (earth balance) up the toast (preferably a dense sourdough), pile on the beans, and top with nacho cheese (earth island vegan gourmet - the only edible - and delicious! - vegan cheese).
