djmelbatoast
Why is it that all the Dead shows I click on are only available in streaming format?I used to be able to download them. I'm trying to find a good Weather Report Suite to download and all I can do is stream. Is this in anyway related to Bobby's sueing of Wolfgangs Vault? bradm
I think it's just the soundboard recordings (or matrix recordings that use soundboard sources) that are streaming-only. A purely audience recording such ashttp://www.archive.org/details/gd83-10-11.silberman.gustin.344.sbeok.shnfis downloadable. (The full set of downloadable shows is available here.)Aloha,Brad

StoneMtn
DJ: As I recall, Grateful Dead Merchandising (or some branch of the GD Empire) went on a bit of a rampage a while ago, asserting proprietary rights over these recordings, and they began to disappear one-by-one from the Archive. People went a little nuts for a while downloading everything they could before it all disappeared.
