guigsy
dont worry about it - he's shit live.
phunkyb
I've seen him live twice. Both shows he was a schwilly idiot! Throwing beers at his musicians, spitting and talking too much.Is he really playing at the Opera house? Last time he was in TO he played Massey Hall. shainhouse
both times Ive seen him the shows are fantastic, but the talking during the songs is annoying...
NewRider
Wow, I remember hearing that the Massey Hall show was really good. I was pretty surprised to see this show at the Operahouse as well. Was the Massey Hall show poorly attended?
guigsy
i dunno, i thought the show here in the summer was pisspoor.he didnt appear too healthy, and couldnt even get through the set without having to go for a "pee break"... pee... right... i like my musicians to be able to at least get through the set before they run backstage to cram shit up their nose.it also helps to have a decent band with you, as well. his drummer might actually be worse than meg white. phunkyb
Massey Hall show was super busy.Wasn't a great show, he was much better in Buffalo when Shainhouse and I saw him back last October.Surprised the show is at the Opera house, a much smaller venue for him to play these days. NewRider
I think he's chosen to play small venues on a small tour to showcase new material that's coming out in April I believe.
Swan
I've seen him twice, once was fantastic the other was the show at the Docks behind the Digital Ash album and I thought it was so-so. But I think everyone should give this kid a chance. I'd rather see him now when tickets are affordable then five years down the road you have to visit your neighbourhood pawn shop to afford tickets.Anyways I gonna check this out
YearsAlongTheSea
I wasn't too impressed when I saw him but it was mainly the setting (Bronson Center) and a weak session band he had with him. He was pretty low key in terms of antics. I'd see him again. I love his music, hope he makes it back to Ottawa and finds a better spot to throw down and maybe tosses in a second drummer. AD
saw him at coachella a couple years ago, he played mostly digital ash stuff and his band was The Faint. I thought it was kickass. I think I'm one of the 3 that like Digital Ash over that whiny album.Although Lua is a great song.I also love The Faint.
