dave-O
Looks like Melnyk finally listened to our hockey masterminds Ollie and Rubberdinghy.http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=211070&hubname=

rubberdinghy
“No decision on John’s (future) has yet to be decided .... by any of the parties,†said Mlakar. “And, decisions on multiple fronts, WON’T (his emphasis) be decided until the end of the weekend.†
rubberdinghy
I'm sure Mucks will step aside, Murray moves in, and John Paddock coaches.
Kanada Kev
Should have done it back in December like everyone had asked for. Sens' winning ways in the new year, and the first 3 rounds of the playoffs, seemed to make many think that he was a genius again or something. Burns coaching the Sens??? That would be interesting. rubberdinghy
I changed it to Paddock....but I loved Pat Burns in Montreal!
Booche
If this proves true, the Sens may now be cursed with an owner that gets too involved (remember, I am a Raiders fan) but the LAST thing they should do is make Murray the coach/GM. Guest Low Roller
Eklund is E2'ing that Randy Cunneyworth may come in to coach after Murray moves up to GM.I always question the wisdom of dumping a GM a week prior to the draft...

Booche
I just read the following on another forum. They said Muckler is going to retire and addedHe's going to run for president against Kramer and Mr. Seinfeld at Del Boca Vista
ollie
Weird footnote on the TSN main page about Muckler's last act as GM:The Ottawa Senators have called a news conference today amid reports a front-office shakeup is in the works. Sources close to John Muckler tell TSN Muckler learned of his fate over the weekend, mere hours after signing veteran Dean McAmmond to a two year contract extension. That's one piece of good news. Booche
mere hours after signing veteran Dean McAmmond to a two year contract extensionHe gets fired after a good signing? I dont care if the writing was on the wall, that is some bad karma.Trigger happy Melnyk. This could be the TSN Turning Point for this franchise. I forsee a comparable state to the 1980's Leafs if Melnyk keeps his hand on the wheel.
