Wedding Songs....

I got the DJ at my sister's wedding to throw this on during dinner. He (the DJ, not my sister) was totally & immediately sold on it, told me he was going straight out to buy it for future occasions

I was the MC at a wedding a few weeks back and did the cocktail DJ-ing duties. I played the Coltrane-Hartman album and it got raves. So did my Rat Pack CD and the always incredible Bobby Darin. Just watch the crowd's energy lift when you put on "Beyond The Sea".

Here it is. I noticed I've deleted some of the cornier songs from my computer but I just went ahead and replaced them with some better tunes. Enjoy.

You rock!! Thank you for this.

You have any of the Stan Rogers CBC recordings?

A quick search (on a shitty system) shows me on CD on the "CBC" label. Not much info on it until I go and retrieve it. It was "acquired" in Jan '92. Here's track listing;

Witch of the West-Mer-Land

Field Behind the Plough

Night Guard

Forty-Five Yeras from Now

Idiot

Lies

Working Joe

Free in the Harbour

Dark-Eyed Molly

Sailors' Rest

The Mary Ellen Carter

I can also get:

Home in Halifax - Live (1982)

Actual radio shows are all kept in the "archives" which I can't get into

Yeah that sucks, I know he did a few shows for CBC Radio back in the day. I wish more Canadians knew about Stan Rogers. He ranks up there with Gordon Lightfoot (only better) for Canadian folk singers.
