bradm
The Crowd (who's playing at The Rainbow tonight) is more of an R&B band (with horns, including thatpatguy on baritone sax), but they do bluesy stuff pretty well.Aloha,Brad
thatpatguy
thanks for the plug Brad I was always a big fan of Drew Nelson.. wicked slide guitar player back in the day.. rumour had it he hit the nose candy pretty hard and dropped out of the scene for a while. All I know is he never go the kudos that Tony got and he doesn't play much anymore. Other guys I'd check out would be "Dr. Dave" Foster, Rick Fines and/or Suzie Vinnick (though they don't play in town much anymore.. they tour all over now) and Scotty Doubt. And though they aren't really blues, but rather Zydeco music, the Mumbo Jumbo Voodoo Combo are amazing!
thatpatguy
oh yeah.. also Terry Gillespie, and if he's still around, Vince Halfhide (what a guitarist!)

bouche
Ol' Blind Dog Helmut, an Ottawa legend influenced by German Blues may still play on his old stoop on Slater street at Bank. If you're lucky, you can catch him doing his classic Struwwelpeter Blues over lunch.
Jaimoe
Even though I didn't care for his latest album, The JW Jones Blues Band are good. He's a hell of a good guitarist.
moe.ron
Try the Guy Delvilano Band (I think that is what they are called) I haven't seen them play, but my parents go almost every Sunday to the Oak on Bank and Gloucester to see them. I think Guy plays with Drew Nelson a lot too.Good luck!

bagochips
Not an Ottawa artist, but Coco Montoya will be the best blues act in Ottawa on October 18th at the Rainbow.http://www.myspace.com/cocomontoyaband
