dave-O
I don't know what pairs they'll go with, but have you ever seen a better top 6?Neidermayer, ProngerSchneider, BeaucheminO'Donnell, HuskinsI'm guessing Dipenta and Hnidy fall to 7/8 on the depth chart. Jaimoe
I think they have the best defense. They gave up an underrated player to keep Scott. I like Anaheim's team, even with that bonehead Bertuzzi. My favourite defense is Calgary's:Dion Phaneuf Robyn Regehr Adrian Aucoin Cory Sarich Rhett Warrener Anders Eriksson David Hale

dave-O
I didn't realize the "on paper" part had to be explicitly written out.
Guest Low Roller
With McCabe gone for two months Toronto's defence has improved temporarily.
badams
I would say come playoff time that the Ana D 'on paper' will be the best out there. Of course a hot goalie and some good back checking can make any D look a lot better than it is.
SmoothedShredder
Anaheim looks like their mean old selves with Scott back in the line up... they're going to get lots of great offence from their back end with Scott and Matthieu leading the rush back to back.Ottawa's is looking really good right now... Meszaros is playing great as the replacement to Volchenkov... Redden, still prone to making the ugly defensive play, seems to have settled down some and is contributing offensively like he did a couple of seasons ago... Joe Corvo is playing like a top 10 offensive defenceman this season... Phillips has been steady, Volchenkov been steady, and Schubert and Luke Richardson have done well to step in when they are needed. Having Chara in the mix would be sweet, and probably put us past Anaheim in terms of depth, but without a super dominant size player (Phillips comes close), Anaheims got to take it cause of Pronger... and I hate Pronger. So it pains me to say it. And that's my 2-cents.
