SmoothedShredder
I like hit...I don't like this music (maybe mute it and put something else on your media player)... but a pretty cool compilation of big hits for your viewing pleasure
Jaimoe
You could compile a video package of just one NFL game and it would beat a week's worth of hits in all the NHL games combined.

Jaimoe
With bone-crunching hits on every play, the NHL can't come close. How many no-hitter NFL games have you seen? I'll answer that: None. How many no-hitter NHL games have you seen? Too many to count, not to mention few have contain big hits.
Booche
The NHL playoffs have provided some unbelievable shots and while I was questioning the whole NHL vs NFL debate the other day, I realized how foolish I was being. I blame beer. How many no-hitter NHL games have you seen? When games dont have the extreme worth they do in regular season NFL contests, it's no wonder. I know I have seen it from these guys during the regular season:
Jaimoe
I can count on one hand the memorable hits from this team of wussies this year:
Booche
Hahahahaa. That reminds me of the game we watched together 2 seasons ago between the Leafs and Wings. How many hits do you think we saw? 5 in total? And every one of them was a simple 'rub-out' along the boards. Fack, that was awful.
Hal Johnson
Dumb debate. The only way to stop forward progress in football is to tackle someone. Therefore hits are a plenty and big ones are inevitable. In hocky there are poke checks and hits are harder to do (properly) while on skates. Therefore less per game and fewer "big ones" per season. Jaimoe
The Leafs are just as soft as the Wings, but a lot bigger with a lot less talent. I think Leaf fans believe board rub-outs are the same thing as bone-crunchers.
Hal Johnson
Right. Kilgers hit on Alfie was a love tap.

Jaimoe
Right. Kilgers hit on Alfie was a love tap.It was Bell that hit Alfie and that's one of my fingers used.

Hal Johnson
Whoever. Ill agree with you that the NFL has a billion times more hits per season, but will join the others and respectfully disagree on the quality comparison of those hits. The NHL holds its own in that department.
badams
I think there are more hits in the NFL but the hits in the NHL are more dramatic. Likely because a 200 pound man going full speed on skates can really level the opponent. However watching a WR get smacked while running through the middle is great too....Oooohh I love violence. badams
[color:purple]Thanks for the clarification. I once saw Booche get leveled by a co-op student and another time by a cardboard box. Good Times
Booche
The Fink once punched out my tooth in the truck bay. I sustained many an embarrassing physical undertaking while we worked together but I never did any of the broads you did. Dont make me go there buddy. It will hurt worse than anything hockey has to offer.
