How to politely refuse New Kids on the Block tickets...

I got an email late last night from a colleague who manages the music stuff here at Rogers Wireless Marketing.

He is the one who got me on the guest list for Panic in Toronto. (aka a good hook-up to have)

Inexplicably, he asked me if I wanted 2 tickets for the New Kids on the Block concert on Thursday.

My instinct is to respond, "Good lord, no!!! NO!!!!" or something equally vehement, but I do want to preserve the connection, in case of future events I want to attend, so I don't want him to perceive my reaction as overtly rude and thankless.

Perhaps I'll just tell him I already have plans...

Just tell him you'll be hangin' tough that night and can't make it :)

Seriously, just be honest with them. Thank them for the offer, but tell them the tix should really get in the hands of a TRUE FAN of the band. Maybe suggest that if they don't know of anyone, that you may have a friend or something that would love 'em.

Trust me SP, you've got an unbelievable amount of good ticket karma on your side for all that you do.

Cheers :)

Why would you refuse them??? LOL ;)

I really think just tell him you have other plans is the nicest way... which would be being honest.. since you do have plans to NOT go and see New Kids... :)

My apologies to Basher...I did, in fact, cite previous plans and politely said, "Thanks, but no thanks"...

I remember in the 80s when these cheeseheads were popular...hideous..I can't believe there's an NKOTB 2.0...and a market for them!!

Davey Boy, I would ask that you stop daydreaming about me sitting on the toilet.

That is all.

No, no, no. Davey Boy fantasizes about you on the TURLET, not the TOILET. Big difference. This folds nicely into his Archie Bunker-based fetish.
