MoMack
Its the principle as much as anything. They think we forgot that Jerry won't be there and the crowd singing along will sound better than what comes from the stage.(yes, sour grapes)But seriously. Its not a fucking Madonna or Eagles show. Its the fucking Dead. Phil should edit his speach - "We couldn't have done this without you, you're part of the band blah blah blah" should be "we want your fucking money, why are you all so stupid as to have made us richer than imaginable and why are you still doing it you dumb asses"Family. Right.
AD
they're not all $100 tickets...
Velvet
No need to grumble! Looks to me like tickets start at $45 and the most you have to pay to see them this tour is $73. I will be trying for a pair of $60 tickets for Albany and a pair of $69 tickets for first night in Worcester.
MoMack
FYI: $60USD face = $100cdn on the visa. And I think its worth grumbling. Jerry was obviously the only one that "got it".

MoMack
I"m just disappointed because a) I wanted to be able to see a string of shows, and just can't justify it at that price and I wanted to miracle a few people - the ones that haven't done any "dead" or even "jam" shows in years but have called me in the past week saying "hey are you going, lets go". Phish can keep their prices reasonable. Panic can keep there's reasonable. Mule. Its not like they need to inflate the price because the shows will all be super sell outs. Nothing they've done has sold out since, oh, I don't know August 1995. At least not to the point that there weren't tickets everywhere pre-show. Low rain
Does anyone know what time the pre-sale starts on Tuesday, and how to get the tickets. Do you use dead.net or ticketmaster; is it only through on-line ordering with a credit card. Is there anything I have to do or know before Tuesday? I haven't bought presale tickets before. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!
phorbesie
if the dead want my money, i'm still pretty happy to give them a bunch of it they are old, and they deserve it...what the shows give to me are worth much more to me
MoMack
As far as I can tell the pre-sale is just plain old snail-mail mail order so far.
MoMack
On further review it looks like the prices above include the GDTSTOO fees. So they're total prices....

MoMack
That seating chart has to be a joke. Thats the shitty part about mail order too - you could end up paying big bucks and getting 300 level seats. Its not going to be quite like the old days where admission = free rain (sp?) Velvet
I might just hop on the grumble train if the cheap seats are only behind the stage. Is it for real that tix onsale on the 13th are through mail order only, while internet sale doesn't start until the 23rd or something?21st century pricing with 20th century ticketing practises?
