AD
i'm pretty sure ottawa won't deliver a tree to gatineau. but you might be able to scam a pick up.even better, why don't you see if gatineau has a similar program?
Big Wooly Mammoth
thanks!I just registered. will be getting my tree in June.we lost 3 big trees a couple of years ago. our neighbour's tree fell over and took down a tree in the yard behind our house. the latter tree shared a root base with a tree that covered our yard, but it had to be cut down as it was no longer stable. totally changed the vibe of our backyard. phishtaper
fantastic links, AD! thanks for posting! these are great programs. i wish they had one in guelph. while searching, i discovered this site - Rotary Club of Guelph Tree Registry ... no free trees, but you can register trees that you may have already planted over the past few years. we planted cherry and peach trees a couple of years ago and a harlequin maple last fall. all are doing quite well. i just registered them. they already have over 8,000 trees in the registry. the goal is to have 40% canopy cover over the whole city by 2020. trees are cool.
