Ratdog was killer last night!

Riddle me this why is that every time I see a solo band project of a member of the Grateful Dead it is a way better experience musically that seeing the rest of the band back together. Seems like they are just more comfortable in their own individual settings.

Last night at the Highland bowl Bobby and Ratdog played a very tight and well improvised set with many higlights. I enjoyed this show 100+ more than the Dead in Buffalo which seemed pedestrian at best.

Here's some pics from the show..

The Senor was brilliant! Mark Karan has wonderful phrasing.
