Esau.
What a dull game.I thought Boston played terrible (so far this year that's the norm) but the Habs didn't look all that great either.Dull game for sure. Dull enough I changed the channel before the B's even scored, only to watch the highlights later.
Guest Low Roller
Habs claim D Jay Leetch off re-entry waivers from DevilsMarkov officially placed on LTIR just now apparently. This gives us $4M cap space according to some reports.
Booche
Markov officially placed on LTIR just now apparently. This gives us $4M cap space according to some reports. Oh fuck. Not this stupid shit again. I swear, I'm going to strangle someone. From last year's teachings:What happens when Markov comes back Roller?
Guest Low Roller
It means that his salary goes back on. Why do you automatically assume that I inferred that the Habs will pick someone up?? That's a pretty stupid assumption there Booche. For once try to imagine that you're not the only who sees the obvious.
ollie
Has this ever been posted here? I just saw it on Esau's blog.

That's a pretty stupid assumption there Booche. For once try to imagine that you're not the only who sees the obvious. Then why even post that the Habs are gaining 4 million in cap space? What was the point of that? Come on! And who the fuck is "us" ????
Guest Low Roller
The point was that the cap space allows us to bring in tons of plugs like Carle, Pyatt, White, Leatch, and Bergeron, and not have to worry about denting the $1.5M cushion Bob gives himself every year for a late trade. As per wikipedia: On November 6, 2009, Leach was claimed by the Montreal Canadiens through re-entry waivers, he was then traded to Pittsburgh Penguins for Sidney Crosby and Marc-André Fleury.Someone is having some Wiki fun...This was than updated to state: On November 6, 2009, Leach was claimed by the by The New York Yankees

You made a 4 million dollar cap savings sound bigger than what it actually is, which is nothing in the end. These plugs are as cheap as they come because they are bottom dwellers and its safe to say any fan would take Markov back in an instant. This is nothing in the end from my point of view, it happens all the time in these cases and it should but it's a 'fake' savings. Dont forget that. Every GM leaves space for the trade deadline. Please dont try and paint this as something it's not but remember something. Gainey signed Bergeron. That's going to cut into his 'wiggle' room provided that fucking pylon is still with the big club when Markov gets back. I need a beer. Woof. Question. You are a Radiohead fan so I have to wonder. When Radiohead puts out their next release are you going to post "We just put out a new album." ?

Booche
Close your eyes. Picture a convict. What's he wearing? Nothing special. Baseball cap on backwards. Baggy pants. He says something ordinary, like 'Yo, that's shizzle.' Okay, now slowly open your eyes again. Who were you picturing? A black man? Wrong. That was a white woman. Surprised? Well, shame on you. Guest Low Roller
Last 4 starts he's 2-2, and a GAA under 2 and a S% around .950. That is good.

Guest Low Roller
No Gionta tonight, but hopefully we can at least put up some token resistance against Carolina. No word on Spacek yet, but Price gets the start.
Booche
Price in that shootout, holyfuck. That boy is on fire right now. Thank God too because they need him. Badly. You can just see the confidence growing.
Northern Wish
What a fantastic save, and good game- but man Carolina didn't seem as though they even know how to raise the puck off of the ice.
Guest Low Roller
Carolina didn't seem as though they even know how to raise the puck off of the ice....yet it still took the Habs a shootout to beat them. The Habs are going to get murdered by the Wings and the Caps this week.
