Freak By Night
Exciting finish! My sympathies Birdie! What a colossal end-of-season meltdown by the Tigers. All the Twins won though was the privilege of playing the mighty Yankees.
Northern Wish
What a a game!Best baseball in ages, gotta love the streaking teams at playoff time (yes in hockey too Booche).Of course one small reason I love the Twins is because of the Hold Steady; did anyone hear their music last night during the game? Constructive Summer, Chips Ahoy made a couple of appearances during reg time and in extras Massive Nights was played at least twice (once right after Cuddyers triple in the 10th)... Big Wooly Mammoth
What a colossal end-of-season meltdown by the Tigers.they were the Jay's collapse in 1987. they lost the final 7 games of the season, incleading 4 against the tigers. just brutal. Freak By Night
I remember 1987 well. That was very brutal. As a Red Sox fan though, I remember 1986 even more!
Northern Wish
The folks over at Upper Deck couldn't forget it either....... From the 1990 Upper Deck 1-500 series, I own at least a couple of these somewhere:
