Thank You. I wear my grandfather's gold ring that he received when WWII ended for his service. I remember everyday when I look at it. I can't imagine what it must have been like being an officer on a minesweeper in the cold Atlantic. He used to tell me stories of all the crazy times they had, but mainly about all the people that he served with.

We are forever in your debt.

No matter what I'm doing, every November 11th I call my grandfather. Now 93 years old, he was a flight surgeon in the Second World War with the United States Air Force. He was decorated with the Award of the Silver Star for going unarmed into battle to retrieve wounded soldiers.

There is no better day to thank those who went before us and pray for peace ahead of us.
