NewRider
Grabbed tickets for the Saturday show. I'm guessing it's general admission as ticketbastard didn't give me a seat number.
Mr. Photogeek
They must have sold out of their pre-sale allotment...just went on and couldn't secure tickets. Unfortunately I was in a meeting and couldn't get out. Oh well. Hopefully I will be able to buy tickets tomorrow. I've never been to this venue, but they show assigned seating...weird that they are general admission!
Mr. Photogeek
Well I hope anyone who wanted tickets got them today (or you live in Toronto)...read this on collectiveconcerts.com:JEFF MANGUM PRESALE SOLD OUT!February 25, 2011The Jeff Mangum presale has sold out!Public Onsale begins SAT Feb 26th at 12:00p @Hs-Rt-Ss Max 2 tickets per personHS – RT – SS will have guaranteed tickets this day only, Ticketmaster is now sold out *Strict no photo policy at the show, and no cameras into the venue*
NewRider
So glad the pre-sale had a 4 ticket limit instead of 2. I'm not too happy about the no camera policy and it being a dry show. It's Jeff fuckin' Mangum though so whatever.
deranger
Well I hope anyone who wanted tickets got them today (or you live in Toronto)...read this on collectiveconcerts.com:JEFF MANGUM PRESALE SOLD OUT!February 25, 2011The Jeff Mangum presale has sold out!Public Onsale begins SAT Feb 26th at 12:00p @Hs-Rt-Ss Max 2 tickets per personHS – RT – SS will have guaranteed tickets this day only, Ticketmaster is now sold out *Strict no photo policy at the show, and no cameras into the venue*yeah maybe its just me or is that a tad confusing? So I get that the presale is sold out, but saying "ticketmaster is now sold out" is misleading. Are there only tickets available at horseshoe, soundscapes and rotate this and none through ticketmaster anymore at all, including tomorrow at noon? Jennifer at ticketmaster was not helpful and she failed to grasp what I was trying to say.
NewRider
Jennifer at Ticketmaster is a moron! You can use ticketmaster tomorrow online to buy tickets. Outlets have 'em too. They WILL go fast though. It's a paperless ticket event which means the credit card holder needs to be at the door the night of in order to get the tickets. The show is general admission and people will line up very early to get in. Hope to see ya there.
NewRider
Looks like it's sold out across the board. I wish I didn't have to wait until August for this show.
deranger
yes, i guess you were wrong? As was Jennifer I suppose. ticketmaster was in fact completely sold out yesterday, which was exactly what was written on collective concerts web site. So thanks to my co-worker Ed who covered for me, I sprinted to Rotate This during work, after realizing ticketmaster was sold out, and grabbed myself a pair for Friday. deranger
This weekend. Can't believe we've been waiting for this since February. Does anybody know the story as to how Jeff Mangum is now back and playing music? Didn't he completely disappear for years?
NewRider
He's popped up here and there in the last few years. I guess he just got comfortable playing live again got tired of living under a rock. Whatever the reason, I couldn't be more excited for tomorrow. Full moon out too.
